CONDITIONS OF PLAY (ABRIDGED)
Full Conditions of Play will be published during the event by the
Headland Golf Club. The following extracts should be noted:
1. The event is open to amateur players with a GA Handicap
(maximum 16.3) who are members of a golf club affiliated through
their district association with the relevant state body and Golf
Australia.

2. The Competition shall be under the management and control of
the Championship Committee, the composition of the Committee
being determined by the Headland Golf Club.
3. The Rules of Golf as adopted by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club
of St Andrews will apply, with such Local Rules as are approved by
the Championship Committee.

4. The Open Championships are Gross events to be played over 36
holes stroke play, 18 holes on the Saturday 4th April 2015 and 18
holes on Sunday 5th April 2015.
Gross and Net events in grades (by Daily Handicap) will be held in
conjunction. The grades for these events are:
A Grade 0 - 3, B Grade 4 - 9, and C Grade 10 - 18
NB. Grades may be altered by match committee at any stage prior
to the event according to entries received.
A 36 hole Gross Senior (55 & over) & Junior (under 18) event will
be held in conjunction.
A player may win one 36-hole and one 18-hole event only. Handicap at time of first round will determine the Grade in which you
will compete. Any reductions in handicap after the first days play
will apply for Sunday’s Net 18 hole event.

5. Competition fee for this event is $60.00. Competition fees must be
paid in advance.
6. In the event of a tie for the Open Champion a “sudden death”
play-off will be conducted over holes 1, 2, 5 and 9. Ties in other
events will be decided using the Australian Count-back system.
7. Motorised buggies may be used in all events.
8. Top 12 Championship Qualifiers Tee Times on Sunday will be
11:34am, 11:42am and 11:50am.
9. A player may obtain distance information by using a device that
measures distance only. (N.B This prohibits the use of Smart
Phones).
