Things to keep in mind with your design:
•
•
Keep your message concise
Embed your fonts, so that the “look” of your slide is
as you intended. To do this in PowerPoint 2013, click
File > Options> Save
if you scroll down
you will see the
“Embed fonts in file”
option
• Use a font that is
legible. The message
is only useful if it can
be read
If you are including images/photos:
• Since the end use of your design may be for print, please use
photos that have a higher resolution. Try to aim for a resolution
of 300 dpi.
• If you are worried about the size being too large then you can
scale down your image for the PowerPoint but then indicate in
your email submission that you do have a higher resolution
image, should it be needed.
• If you are unsure how to handle your picture resolution you may
contact Karen Van Kerkoerle for guidance ([email protected])
• For any pictures you include you must sign a photo waiver form
granting the department use of the image, plus any people who
are facing the camera must also sign the waiver
