Join more than 1,000 cyclists for
“GEORGIA RIDES TO THE CAPITOL”
What: Raise support for improved conditions for bicycling
in Georgia, including the development of regional systems
of both on-road bicycling facilities and multi-use trails.
Where: Riders will leave from Roswell at 9:45 a.m. or Decatur
at 10:45 a.m. and converge at the Capitol at 11:40 a.m.
The police escorted rides (one way) will be led by Roswell
Mayor Jere Wood and Decatur City Commissioner Fred
Boykin, as well as other mayors and elected officials from
the region and state.
Supported by: The Metro Atlanta Mayors Association
(MAMA), Georgia Bikes! and others with more than 1,000
cyclists from the metro Atlanta region.
Ride Georgia’s biggest one-day cycling advocacy
event! The ride is free to participants thanks to gracious
sponsors and volunteers. All registered riders will receive
a FREE commemorative reflective leg band! PLUS, in
commemoration of our 10th anniversary, our first 100
registrants who donate at the silver level ($50) or higher
will receive a limited edition Ride to the Capitol cycling
cap by Primal Wear! Registered riders are covered by
event insurance. While the event is free, rider support is
encouraged with a $15.00 (or more) contribution to help
cover expenses. Donations can be made via PayPal or
credit card on the website. Join us Tuesday, March 24th
to help us raise support for better bicycling in Georgia!
