Individual riders should complete Sections 1 and 3 and then return this form with the relevant
entry fee.
Groups, which may include children aged 8 – 12, should complete Sections 1, 2 and 3 then
return the form with the entry fee for all the riders in the group.
ENTRY FEES VARY ACCORDING TO WHEN YOU REGISTER.
We MUST have the parent/guardian’s signature for each child taking part. If you have any
doubts at all about your child riding on the road please consider children participating in the

Otter Valley Festival Sponsored Cycle Ride
The event is organised by The Otter Valley Rotary Club.
It is not a race but a sponsored fun ride for the benefit of our chosen charities.
The Event offers two routes which have been carefully planned and are well signed with
marshals along the route and at checkpoints.
The event takes place on Saturday 30th May 2015 and will begin at 12.30pm
from the Ottery St. Mary Football Ground, Butts Road.
Riders will start in groups to ensure that the roads are not over-crowded with cyclists.
Further details will be found in our pre-event packs which will be sent out by 21st May.
Medallions will be awarded to all finishers of the Cycle Rides
SAFETY GUIDELINES:
Children 12 & under are not accepted on the blue route (approx. 25 miles).
We cannot be held responsible for any accidents.
It may seem obvious, but DO check that your bikes are roadworthy before setting off, obey
the Highway Code, observe all traffic regulations, ride in single file, keep to the left, be
considerate to other road users and wear approved safety gear - this must include a helmet.
CHILDREN MATTER:
Cyclists aged 8–12 are very welcome to come and join in the fun and cycle along our red
route (approx. 11 miles). There are 3 simple but important rules for children:
1. Children must be at least 8 years old to ride on their own bike.
2. Each children aged 8 – 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
3. A parent/guardian MUST sign this consent form for all cyclists under 13.
Under 8 year olds may “come along for the ride” on a tandem, trailer bike, bike seat etc.
(according to their age/size) but cannot ride on their own bike and cannot be registered as
entrants.

A copy of the email must be produced on the 30th May as evidence of registration.

Cheques should be made payable to RCOV.
Cyclists who register on the day of the event will pay more. Registration on the day is
subject to availability.
