The 19th Annual KidBiz
Young Entrepreneur Program
Saturday, June 27, 2015
At the Town Commons
10 am - 3 pm
KidBiz was designed to give children in 2nd - 8th grade the experience and excitement of running their
own business. This is an excellent opportunity for children to engage in a real-life business experience.
Last year we had over 125 young entrepreneurs who learned various aspects of running their own
business with topics including but not limited to, pricing, marketing and customer service. We try to make
this event as close to a real business as possible, so we charge each young business owner a rental
space fee and they received a “license” to be eligible to sell at the KidBiz Young Entrepreneur Program.
Each young entrepreneur also receives loan agreement paperwork for anything that they might have to
borrow from their parents.
We hope you will consider a sponsorship for our 2015 KidBiz Young Entrepreneur Program. The
Chamber’s goal for sponsorships is to give you as much positive exposure to the Grand Island Community
as possible. An early commitment will enable us to give you added exposure with press releases,
brochures, newsletters and website advertisement. Just sign and return the enclosed sponsor page with
your payment and a business card.

Grand Island Chamber Has an Intern
The Grand Island Chamber would like to welcome Allison Donahue,
who will be doing an internship with the Chamber throughout the
summer. Allison is working on updating our membership information
and will be reaching out to each member for updated information,
collecting logos for you business and meeting with a few business
to learn about what you do. If you are interested in talking to Allison
about your business please contact the Chamber office and we will
set up a time for her to meet with you and then do a membership
spotlight about your business.

The KidBiz is one of many activities planned by the Grand Island
Chamber of Commerce.
Please join us and support your community and area youths for KidBiz 19th year.
Last year we had over 75 booths and 140 Grand Island students participating!
KidBiz is an excellent opportunity for children to engage in a real-life
business experience
What to sell? Anything that will fit on a table – your old toys, sports
cards, books, arts and crafts, homemade goodies and drinks. Learn how to
serve customers, how much supplies will cost and how much to charge.
To sell at KidBiz you and a guardian must attend a training session called, “Get
Ready for KidBiz”. Here you will get a KidBiz start-up kit.
