RACE INFORMATION
The Girls on the Run 5K is the culminating event of our 12-week after school program. Whether
it’s your first race or your fastest, we hope you will join us for this extraordinary celebration of
health, wellness and girl power!
Schedule of Events
 7:00 am EXPO
Arrive early to park and experience fun activities including Happy
Hair, Selfie Station and samples from our sponsors and partners

8:00 am 5K START
Line up by your zone on Bobby Dodd Way and Yellow Jacket Alley.
5K Starts on Techwood at corner of Bobby Dodd Way

FINISH LINE
Inside Bobby Dodd Stadium

9:00 am TOT TROT 5 and under free. Yellow Jacket Alley (meet at Brittain Drive and
Bobby Dodd Way)
Registration
 GOTR participants and Coaches are already registered.
 All parents, friends and running buddies need to register to run the race.
 $25 registration fee includes 5K race, entrance into the race-day expo with refreshments,
vendors, Happy Hair and short-sleeved Finisher’s t-shirt. Proceeds benefit the Girls on the
Run of Atlanta Scholarship Fund.

 Online registration closes at Midnight on April 21st. You can register at packet pick-up or on
race day.
Pre-Race Packet Pick-up
 GOTR Girls and Coaches pick up on race day only.
 Parents, friends, community runners: pick up your Race Packet and shop for new shoes and
race gear at West Stride, 3517 Northside Parkway NW, Atlanta, GA 30327. GOTR coaches
and participants receive a discount from West Stride.

Race-Day Packet Pick-up & Registration
 GOTR Coaches pick up for their GOTR team on race day at Coach Tent
 Race Day Registration and Bib Pick Up Opens at 7:00 am, Bobby Dodd Stadium,
Gate 4 “Poland Family Gate”
 5K Finisher T-shirt and t-shirt size are not guaranteed for those registering after April 5th

Spectators – best places to cheer
 Starting line on Techwood at Gate 8 or 9 on the East Side of Bobby Dodd Stadium
 Fowler Street and 4th Street
 Expo area as runners run into the Stadium tunnel (note: only runners can enter the
stadium through the tunnel)
 Stadium - enter the Stadium via Gate 7 (stairs or elevator access), seating is allowed in
Sections 114 – 121.
Family Reunion Area – pick up your GOTR girl
 If you are not running with your daughter, please plan to meet her inside the stadium in
one of these two locations.
1. Section 114 in the bleachers (Student Section of Bobby Dodd Stadium). Runners
will be exiting the field into the bleachers via Sections 114/115 and 116/117.
2. North Concourse, GOTR Family Reunion Area. Exit the bleachers via Sections
114/115 or 116/117 and meet in the GOTR Family Reunion Area directly outside of
Section 114/115 in the North Concourse (Concessions/Restrooms) where you will
find alphabetical signs.
Finisher Tshirts
 5K Finisher Tshirts will be in the North Concourse as you are exiting the Stadium
Say Cheese!
 A photographer will be in Section 112 inside the Stadium for post-race photos for those
that want an on-the-spot photo. Cost: $5 cash or credit card (portion goes to GOTR)
GOTR Merchandise
 We’ll have some GOTR merch for sale including running shorts, GOTR socks, Sweaty
Bands, tees and more. Cash and credit cards accepted.
Additional Information
 This is a non-competitive, timed race with all #1 bibs. Runners of all abilities are welcome.
Walkers and strollers are welcome. No pets.
 We will run rain or shine. Only in cases of extreme weather will changes to the race schedule
occur. If you opted into the Emergency Alert System during online registration, you will
receive a text message. You can also check our Facebook page or Twitter feed for race
updates on race day.
