“Paws”itively News Paws Pride; Respect, Responsibility and Pride www.goffstown.k12.nh.us/mv March 12, 2015 (603) 497-8288 PAWS PRIDE - WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS TEAM 6-4 NEWS: In Mrs. Murray’s language art class, we are learning about fact and opinion. We are learning about different types of resources and why they’re important. In Mrs. Murray’s social studies class, we are working on a project called Modern Day Tomb Collections. The task is to write and illustrate what we would like to have in our tombs if we were a pharaoh during ancient Egypt. In Mr. Coats’ math class, we are working on unit seven. We are learning about probability and tree diagrams. In science, we have recently started a chapter about force and motion. Mr. Coats tells us we should learn about force and motion because it relates to everyday events. As a whole team, we have started a “Change for Change” collection for a fellow team member. He has recently been through surgery. He has had to overcome many obstacles throughout life. So far, we have brought in enough spare change to fill a huge glass jar! Counting it is going to take us some time, but we think that is a good thing. Mrs. Murray and Mr. Coats are very thoughtful and humorous teachers. As we move on in school, we hope to have other teachers as interesting as they are, in a good way.
