Join us in our walk with older
Americans. This walk is free and open to
all ages. We will begin our day with check-in starting at 9:00a.m. A light
breakfast will be served from 9:00a.m –10:00a.m. The one mile walk will begin
promptly at 10:00a.m. starting at The Meadows following a path around the Good
Neighbor Society Campus and ending back at The Meadows. Following the walk,
the Delaware County Beef Producers will be grilling hamburgers and a picnic
lunch will be served. Please join us as we celebrate older Americans.
Take the time to show your appreciation to our valued Meadows
team members Lindsey Ante and Patty Rauch. Lindsey has been
with the Good Neighbor Society since June 2008 and Patty since
Fall 2014. We recognize the compassionate Christian care they give
to each and every one of us every day. Thanks for all you do!
Bird Feeders
Just a reminder, all bird
seed must be kept in air
tight containers and placed
in the closet in the garage
with your name on it.
Any seed not labeled or in a
container will be
thrown out by
June 1st. It is not
to be kept in
your apartment.
Deep Cleaning
Reminder to
tenants that deep
cleaning of
apartments will begin in
May. Tenants will be given
notice of their scheduled
deep cleaning day and will
be asked to leave their
apartment during cleaning
time as they will be moving
furniture and such. The
entire cleaning will take
approximately (2 hours).
From the office of Lindsey Ante…Director of The Meadows
May at The Meadows
With spring finally upon us, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, flowers are in bloom
and I am happy to be at The Meadows, and part of such a supportive community. I want to
take this opportunity to thank the tenants of The Meadows, family members, friends and especially our outstanding team members for their loyalty, trust and dedication.
We have many activities and events happening at The Meadows this month. First off, Friday,
May 1 is May Day. We would like to take this day to acknowledge our past tenants from The
Meadows that now live at the GNH. We will be visiting these dear friends on May 1 and
bringing them a May Day Basket.
Sunday, May 17, we will be honoring our tenants with a Mother’s Day/Father’s Day Brunch. Please join your
loved one that day and let us do the cooking. We will have a traditional brunch, sure to leave you satisfied and
your loved one happy to spend the day with their sons, daughters, grandchildren and friends.
Thursday, May 21, we will honor our seniors and community with The Older American’s Walk. This 1 mile
walk will be held on the campus of the GNS and start and end at The Meadows. We are looking for volunteers
for that day to help push wheelchairs or just come and enjoy the walk with your loved one. Following the walk,
we will be honoring our exceptional team members with an employee recognition lunch. The beef producers
will be here grilling hamburgers for employees, tenants and all volunteers. This will be a day you won’t want to
miss.
Sidewalk Under
Construction
The Meadows started the recent construction of extending the sidewalk around the
front of the building. This project will be completed just in time for the Older Americans walk that will be taking place on the Good Neighbor Society Campus later this
month.
Many tenants took part in our recent Paris Party. They enjoyed an armchair travel video of Paris as well as
some French appetizers including liver pate, grapes, cheese and of course wine. Music traditionally heard in
Paris played throughout the afternoon. Lot’s of FUN!
These ladies from The Meadows were busy putting together May Baskets. These baskets will be delivered to the tenants at The Good Neighbor Home that formerly lived at The Meadows.
