FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK Dear Meadows Family, Harvest time has arrived in Central Illinois and it appears to be a very bountiful crop this year. Our farmers are very busy bringing in a robust harvest, working tirelessly day and night. There is much to be thankful for and a cause for celebration. In the same way, our communities have been very blessed to have a growing number of seniors to serve, a dedicated staff that provides care and services 24/7, and a cause for celebration. Specifically, we have made several recent leadership decisions to support our future needs, re-positioning efforts, and opportunities to grow and serve others with excellence. Holly Hall, our Sales Director at the Mercy Creek campus, has been promoted to lead our sales and marketing efforts for all of Meadows. Holly will serve as the Senior Director for Sales and Marketing Director effective immediately. Additionally, Di Shepherd has been named Director for Development/Foundation and will begin her service at Meadows effective Nov 17th. Di replaces the position vacated by Mary Ann Watkins who retired last year after her successful role as Development Leader for Meadows. Our construction project renovating the dining area and expanded living room space at Meadows is near completion. This space will be absolutely beautiful and create opportunity for families to visit their loved ones in a “home like” setting. Other minor renovation and improvements are taking place within the 3 neighborhoods at Meadows and at Mercy Creek. Our marketing feasibility study will be launched in November for all of Meadows. This study will determine what services, levels of living, and related amenities are in future demand. Subsequently, this study will support strategic growth plans and master planning process which engages current residents, staff, board and strategic partners through a charrette process. We will continue to make decisions to prepare us for growth, serve others in a changing market place, and fulfill our mission which has been lived out for 91 years. The opportunity to act on this and other strategies are key to strengthening our foundation for the future. As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, it provides a great opportunity to reflect on God’s goodness and grace. The message is clear and simple. There are no bright lights or presents, just a time to be thankful. As I close, I want to thank our residents, dedicated staff, leaders and friends of Meadows who have made the difference each and every day.
