NEXT STEPS IN THE RESPONSIBLE CARE® JOURNEY
Responsible Care® is the chemical industry’s global environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S)
voluntary initiative. For almost six years, Responsible Care® has helped GPCA member companies enhance
their performance and reputation, discover new business opportunities, and improve the health and safety of
their employees and communities and the environment as a whole.
This conference will enable industry leaders to learn from their peers and experts about strategies to improve their companies’ EHS&S
performance and expand business opportunities. With a focus on regulatory framework, chemical management lifecycle, process safety and
ways to maximize our renewable energy and industrial waste resources, chemical industry leaders are convening between 11-13 October 2015
at the inaugural GPCA Responsible Care® Conference in Dubai, UAE.
Sessions at the conference will cover a range of topical issues, including environmental, safety, chemical management and learning from our
industry peers. The conference will focus on discussing sustainable strategies under the theme of “Next steps in the Responsible Care® Journey”.
The conference will reinforce and create a better understanding of the role Responsible Care® plays across the globe.
THE PROGRAM IS DIVIDED IN 6 SESSIONS
• Session 1: RC Regulatory Framework and International Perspective
• Session 2: Maximizing our Resources – Renewable Energy
• Session 3: Increasing the Focus on Process Safety
•Session 4: Addressing Chemical Management throughout the
Lifecycle
• Session 5: Voice of Industry Partners
• Session 6: Maximizing our Resources – Industrial Waste
GPCA has built a solid foundation for the future of Responsible Care® in the Gulf region. The Responsible Care® Committee is currently
undertaking a strategic review of the program to increase the level of influence and support it can provide to the Gulf region. Responsible Care®
practitioners attending the conference will have the opportunity to provide their feedback on how the regional program should develop in the
future.
