Wellness Center
We are hosting a NuStep challenge for the month of May between the various Hearth buildings in our
area. The contest will run from May 25-May 31. We are aiming to be the building with the most miles!
We encourage all residents to be a part of this challenge. If you are interested in this event please
contact Nicole or Teresa in the Wellness Department. You may also contact Julie in the Activities
Department. We are going to be logging all participants on a specific tracker sheet. If you have any
other questions regarding the challenge please touch base with us. Come on down to show your
support!!!

Therapy Corner
Brought to you by PRN Therapy
(315) 200-1418
This month’s Therapy Corner topic is foot care. Your feet play a big role in balancing your body on
the ground. Your feet must be kept mobile and strong in order to do their job properly. Often times,
feet are neglected until significant problems arise. Come on down and join your PRN therapy staff for
an enlightening talk about proper foot care. Topics to be discussed include: appropriate footwear, foot
pain, proper foot care, and the importance of feet in overall balance. Please check your monthly
activities calendar for details as to date, time, and location. Don’t miss it!
A Note from the Executive Director….
Dear Residents and Families,
It has been said that Spring is nature’s way of saying that there are better things to come. Therefore,
we certainly hope that you are not only looking forward to the sunshine and flowers, but also to all of
the great events and activities that our staff has carefully planned for you for the month of May. So,
open your windows and get out some sunscreen because Spring is finally here!
Warm Regards,
Mark Guida

“Give’em the pickle right back!”
What is “The Pickle?” “When something happens with a customer and you’re not
sure what to do? “Give’em the Pickle...do what it takes to make things right!” The
pickle philosophy has evolved from there as it’s been put
into practice at various businesses. It may be about going
the extra mile to make customers happy or putting your
own
personal stamp on customer service…”
