In 1976 Habitat for Humanity was founded in
Americus, Georgia. The Lee County Chapter
was up and running shortly thereafter and by
Christmas 1980, their first home was completed
and occupied.
As of 2014, 1,286 families in our community have benefitted from a
hand up—not a handout—from Habitat for Humanity. In 2007, Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties was named the second
largest affiliate in the country for production and celebrated 25 years
in the community. In 2012, the affiliate marked it’s 30th anniversary
and constructed 6 new homes and rehabbed 48 homes during the
2011-2012 fiscal year. To find out more, go to habitat4humanity.org
or call 239-652.0434.
The purpose of the Greeters Club of Greater Fort
Myers is to bring together women residents of the
area to promote friendship through social, cultural and
philanthropic activities.

Your special Invitation to the
“No-Show” Habitat for Humanity
House Warming Party is attached.
We look forward to not seeing you
there!
Note to new members: A “No-Show” event is scheduled every year
by Greeters of Greater Fort Myers as our annual charity fund raiser. We
came up with the “No-Show” concept in order to focus on the charity
and not on an elaborate fund raiser event. We are selling tickets, but
there will not be a “real” event for you to attend!
Since our first “No-Show Ball,” we have raised contributions for several local charities including Special Equestrians, Salvation Army, and
The Seahorse Dream for the Galisano Children’s Hospital.
