RETAIL SKILLS HEALTH & BEAUTY – (PHARMACY) GYS95 AIM The aim of the programme is to enable the learner to develop the knowledge, skills and competence to work, under supervision, in a retail environment particularly in the pharmacy retail sector providing effective customer service and retail selling, performing a range of payment transactions, engaging in stock control and applying their knowledge of over-the-counter and grooming and skin care products. On successful completion of the programme, learners may progress to further education and training. Applicants must have achieved a FETAC Level 3 Major Award or its equivalent. A good standard of written and spoken English and attention to detail are essential. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Applicants should be well groomed, have an outgoing personality and enjoy dealing with people.
