GriZZ SliderZZ Installation Instructions Thank you for your purchase! Yamaha builds the toughest All-Terrain Vehicles on the market today. Unfortunately they left several weak spots on the Grizzly 550/700 models under the floor boards. That's where the NEW GriZZ SliderZZ come in to provide the ultimate protection! Tools Required: ratchet, 4mm hex head Allen key, 10mm socket, 14mm socket, 10mm wrench or crescent wrench, needle nose pliers and a ratchet extension. I recommend not using deep well sockets as it will make bolting the inner two bolts to the frame more difficult. 1. Start on the side with the oil panel and remove oil access panel (see photo). 2. Using a 4mm hex head Allen key and a 10mm wrench or crescent wrench, unbolt the 7 bolts that hold the factory footwell to the front fender, side panel and rear fender. 3. Using the 10mm socket, unbolt the 4 base bolts of the factory footwell from the factory footwell bracket. At this point the factory footwell should be free of the ATV – remove (see photo). 4. Still on the side with the oil panel, use needle nose pliers and unsnap the brake line clips from the factory footwell bracket. 5. Using a 14mm socket and ratchet extension, begin unbolting the 4 factory bolts that are holding the factory footwell bracket to the frame – remove. 6. Again still on the side with the oil panel, now re-use the factory14mm bolts to install the Grizz Slider making sure the equal length tubes are on the side with the oil panel. Be sure the main square tube openings are UP. (see photo). Install the bolts loosely until all 4 are started. Once all 4 bolts are in you can center and tighten down. 7. Once you have your Grizz Slider tightened on the side with the oil panel, set the factory footwell back on top and line up the four 10mm holes and loosely reinstall the four 10mm base bolts. 8. Once the four 10mm bolts are reinstalled loosely, begin lining up your front fender, side panel and rear fender and reinstall the seven 4mm hex head Allen bolts loosely using a 10mm wrench or crescent wrench and 4mm hex head Allen key. 9. Once you have all your bolts reinstalled, align your plastics to your preference and tighten all bolts. Recheck after a few rides to be sure the four main 14mm bolts are tight. 10. Repeat steps 2-9 for short tube slider on opposite side (without oil panel). Be sure and tighten all bolts before use! Notes: If you wish, you can use a small drop of anti-seize or blue locktite on your 14mm main bolts to ensure security and keep from seizing if you ride in a lot of mud and water. If you wish to more securely fasten the brake line on the oil panel side, you can fasten one or two zip ties to the frame. Short tube slider end goes on right side (opposite oil panel side).
