Girl Scouts of Connecticut Camp Sikorsky 2015: PG16000 Tent camping for 500 Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts on the front lawn of Sikorsky Aircraft, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) workshops, tours…and more! Dates: Friday, October 2, 5:00 p.m. through Sunday, October 4, 2015, 12:00 noon Location: Sikorsky Aircraft, Stratford, CT Eligibility: Girl Scouts ages 12 and older may register as troops or individually with a parent/legal guardian. Please adhere to ratio of no more than 2 adults to 8 girls. Every effort will be made to accommodate those with disabilities and/or medical conditions. A media release form is required (will be sent to those registered) Cost: $45.00 for girls and adults (must be registered Girl Scouts), if paid by Aug. 15. Includes workshops, meals (Friday snack, all meals on Saturday, and Sunday breakfast), and Camp Sikorsky patch. The fee is $55.00 after Aug 15 and for out-of-Council participants. After Aug 15 Girl Scouts may register until event has reached capacity. Registration Process - NEW: Online registration not available for this event. Completed Registration Form and fees must be mailed, faxed, or scanned/emailed to Ellyn Savard and received by Aug 15, 2015. Registrations will not be processed without proper forms and payment. Space is limited. Those registered without proof of citizenship will not be considered (as per Sikorsky). No pajama bottoms except in camp area. Closed heel and toe shoes/sneakers are required. Workshop 21 is designed specifically for Girl Scouts, but girls may choose from any of those listed. Please select 2 choices and one alternate. You will be notified in late August/early September of the assigned workshops along with requirements and prerequisites, if necessary. All sessions are being taught by highly-qualified engineers, technicians, and executives who are employed at Sikorsky Aircraft. In addition, there will be myriad opportunities to visit fascinating displays within the Sikorsky Aircraft production center. This event is designed to stimulate interest in high tech career fields.
