service and discretion are of crucial importance.
The firm has two offices on Theatre Street, Norwich and comprises of a team of 12
solicitors and 5 legal assistants supported by a full administration team.

ROLE OVERVIEW/SUMMARY:
We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic secretary on a permanent
contract. . The role will be to provide a high level of professional secretarial and
administrative support in our private client department. The successful candidate will
work principally for one fee earner, but will be required to provide additional support to
other fee earners within the private client department when necessary.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:








Efficient and accurate document creation, amending and formatting together with
audio and copy typing.
Proof reading to ensure all documents produced are accurate and correctly
presented.
Assisting with the preparation of document bundles.
Building and maintaining knowledge of clients and their matters and the work in
general.
Answering the telephone in a helpful and professional manner, ensuring messages
are taken accurately and passed on to the relevant fee earner in a timely manner.
Maintaining an effective filing system ensuring filing is completed on a daily basis and
computer records are updated regularly.
Supporting larger team by assisting in any overflow of outstanding secretarial work
and generally assisting in the smooth running of the department.
Organising the department to make more use of IT and case management systems.
ESSENTIAL / DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:





Experience of private client work preferred.
Excellent telephone and communication skills.
Fast, accurate typing (audio and copy) with excellent grammar and spelling.
Advanced working knowledge of Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Internet.
Ability to deal confidently with clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualified to GCSE standard, grade C (or equivalent) at Mathematics and English
essential.
