Since 1994, Cause and Effect (CE) has served children and their families in the Calgary and surrounding areas. CE provides tailored programming to each and every child within preschool, community, and in-home settings. Our team of parents, therapists, child development facilitators and administrators work collaboratively to assist children in achieving maximum development and independence. Our motto is: "play with a purpose!" Overview of Position: Cause and Effect Foundation is seeking applications for individuals interested in the position of “Receptionist”. The Cause and Effect Receptionist will provide direct assistance to Cause and Effect Foundation focusing on day to day supports for the CE administrative team and office. The role includes: Answering, responding to and triaging telephone calls. Managing the CE general email account and addressing/ forwarding information to the corresponding individual. Assisting with filing of child/family/grant and personnel information. Assisting with receiving and hosting guests at the office including greeting guests, offering beverages, assisting with set up for meetings, special events, etc. Assisting with photocopying, material set up and assembly Assisting with booking special events venues Order and purchase relevant supplies under the direction of the Executive Coordinator and or Directors Assist with booking appointments and with additional duties as assigned by Directors in the CE office Roles and Responsibilities: A list of roles and responsibilities is available in detail on the official Job Description. Updated May 14th, 2015 Requirements and Qualifications Previous experience in an administrative position Experience in early intervention industry is a definite assets Strong PC skills i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Outlook Detailed oriented Proven ability to effectively prioritize work flow Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative and be proactive High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information Hours: 4 days per week, 6 hours / day Compensation $20/hour for 24 hours/week plus benefits Work will span Monday through Thursday, 6 hours/day from August 24th, 2015 to June 30th, 2016 with possibility of some summer hours.
