The sessions will allow participants to work towards their BCU one star award. It is a flat
water award and demonstrates that an individual has basic boat control and foundation
skills. All equipment is provided.

Cardio Tennis is a high energy fitness activity that combines the best features of the sport of
tennis with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic
workout. It is a very social and fun class for players of all ability levels taught by a tennis
coach. If you've never played tennis before it is a great way to be introduced to the sport and
if you are an experienced high level tennis player it is the best way to train for
tennis. Rackets will be provided.

Tots2Teens
Do you have children who are aged between 5 and 16? If so, Tots2Teens holiday activity
sessions run by Broadland District Council could be for you. Multiple sessions are run daily
during all school holidays and include a wide range of activities including art, cookery,
sports, wildlife activities and specialised sessions for older children. All sessions take place
at schools and village halls around Broadland, from Aylsham to Sprowston and Thorpe St
Andrew to Acle offering young people the opportunity to try something different and make

Marriott’s Way 10k
Entries are now open for the Marriott’s Way 10k which is being held on Sunday 11th
October. The race along Marriott's Way, between Aylsham and Reepham, is mainly off-road
and predominantly flat. This makes it ideal for beginners and more experienced runners
alike.
There is also an opportunity for organisations to enter a team into the ever popular Marriott’s
Way 10k corporate challenge.

The Norfolk Village Games
The Norfolk Village Games offers fun, competitive opportunities for rural communities to access sport. Now is your chance to prove your village is the best in Norfolk
by entering on behalf of your local community.
This year’s event is being held on Sunday 12th July 2015 at the UEA Sportspark. No
village is too big or too small and there are trophies for each sporting event and
winning villages. Entry is on a first come first served basis, go to

L2 Award in Nutrition for Healthy Living - Online Learning
This course is available to anyone looking to improve their knowledge, understanding and
competence for offering advice on nutrition for healthy living, or to improve their own
understanding about nutrition. This course provides the underpinning knowledge on the role
of key food groups, the structure and function of the digestive system and the basic
principles of weight management. It is a great course for anyone looking to start in the
fitness industry or to complement health care roles. It is completed online only, no
attendance required. You receive a full certificate upon completion. More details can be

Why Weight?
Learn some easy techniques to help you change your lifestyle to lose weight without calorie
counting. 'Why Weight?' is a free twelve week weight management programme delivered by
Broadland District Council.
The friendly group sessions give you a chance to: learn more about eating behaviours;
change eating your habits in a realistic, sustainable way; learn tips and tricks to help you
make healthier choices; find information on services to help you get more active and share
ideas and experiences with other people in the same situation
Courses are weekly and running in Acle (Monday mornings and Thursday evenings) ,
Spixworth (Monday and Tuesday afternoons) and Sprowston (Tuesday evenings and

May Bank Holiday Activities at OPEN
Looking for fun things for your children to get involved with over the Easter holidays then
OPEN on Bank Plain in Norwich may have the answer. On offer are the following two day
workshops all aimed at 7 – 12 year olds.
