Whilst the General Election is important it
is also vital that Wroxham,Salhous and
Rackheath elects the right people as our
Councillors. We need to keep a strong local
team who will work hard all year round and
put our villages first. This is why voters of
all shades of political opinion are backing
Alex Cassam to carry on as your local
Councillor and to elect Malcolm Springall.

With so much building being forced on our
area our villages are under threat. It has
never been more important to have local
representatives who put the local area first.
The Lib Dems are the only party who do not
“whip” their Councillors - Alex and Malcolm
will always put Wroxham, Salhouse and
Rackheath before party politics.
Remember the Lib Dems are the only
party on Broadland Council to
consistently oppose the “Eco Town” and
the Tory building plans that will wreck
our area. Support Alex Cassam &
Malcolm Springall on May 7th.

“We back Steve for MP”
More and more residents are
backing Steve Riley to be the new
MP for Broadland as it’s time we
had an MP who puts this area first!
The first issue that Steve will take
up if he is elected is to seek a
change in the law that gives
residents & Parish/Town Councils
a right to appeal over controversial
planning decisions. At the moment
developers can appeal when they
are turned down but there is no
Steve’s commitment for better representation
Way for residents to challenge when
plans are passed that are bad for the
local community.
Steve says Whilst new houses are
needed we need joined up thinking
for new development that takes on
board local residents views .In some
cases there are no issues whilst in
others the development can reap
havoc on the local community“. I
have already pledge to help fight a
number of developments that
residents and parish councils have
raised with me.
We will deal with issues
you raise promptly & report
back. We will maintain
close links with your Parish
Councils
We will work with your
Parish Council & residents
groups. We will seek to
keep you informed of
important decisions.
Alex & Malcolm hope soon
to be working with Steve
Riley as new MP for
Broadland. We think
Steve will make a huge
difference to our area &
we hope you will support
him to get elected
“If I am elected the first thing I will do is to establish better contact and
support for individual residents and communities.
Broadland is geographically a huge constituency and the MP’s local office can be many miles away from residents. I believe it is
essential to set up satellite surgeries in places such as Wroxham,Salhouse and Rackheath to give better support and see people face to
face. I would also produce a quarterly newsletter to keep residents better informed . I know from my expierience the only way residents
and communities can be supported in this way is by being a full time hard working MP for the people of Broadland that elect me. I
therefor would refuse to take on accept payment for any other job”.
It’s time for change in Broadland
