Our worship was planned and is led by the Hesston College Worship and Celebration
class: Lincoln Moyo, Christina Hershey, Thomas Wedel, Peter Wintermote, Gracie
Tijerina, Isaiah Crosby, Clayton Bartholomew, Cayla Bromlow, Oliver Denlinger and
their instructor Laura Kraybill.
 Each one as we experience healing and relief from tension and stress through
laughter and see laughter as a gift from God in the spirit of joy.
 Wisdom for words and actions that will diffuse situations of tension and anger.
 Thanksgiving for the rains that refresh the earth and provide life-giving
nourishment to plants and living creatures.
 Forgiveness and freedom from our own sins as well as for those who have
committed sins against us.
 Grant Raleigh as he has been moved to a progressive care facility in Denver.
 Jeannene Mast as she is recovering from pneumonia at Newton Medical Center.
 Students, instructors and staff in their final weeks of the spring semester in public
and private settings.
 All who shared their time and energy to organize, staff and provide items for the
Hutchinson MCC Sale this past weekend and those who will benefit from the money
that was raised.
 C. Paul and Hildi Amstutz as they live and work among the people of Paraguay.
 World leaders that they may serve with integrity and govern for the good of those
they serve.
The prayer room is available all week for those who would like to spend some time in personal
prayer (located north of the sanctuary, Room U of the Education Hall).


Center parking lot south of the church as part of Hesston College’s new

MC USA Prayer Retreat – The retreat will be held at 4:30 p.m. and will
conclude with a shared "finger foods" faspa (potluck) at 6:00 p.m. at the
Dyck Arboretum of the Plains, 177 W Hickory Street.

Dorcas Circle – Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the MCC Center, North Newton to do
work projects there. Call Elaine Unruh for a ride (620-951-8008). Lunch is
provided—bring your own table service.

Glen E. Miller, MD, author of Living Thoughtfully, Dying Well, at 9 a.m.
during the Sunday school hour in the community center hosted by Hesston
Mennonite. Another option is Thursday, May 14 at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary
hosted by Schowalter Villa.
Jun 8-12 Hesston Community Vacation Bible School – 6:15 – 8:30 each evening.
Hesston Mennonite will host the Kindergarten (entering and just
completing) age group.
Watch for opportunities to volunteer and

Clayton Gladish will be out of office April 16-22 for several days of vacation and to
attend a Youth Ministry Council meeting.
Graduate Listing – A listing of 2015 graduates will be printed in the May 17 worship
bulletin. If you have a graduate from your family this spring, please contact the church
office with the name of the graduate and the school.
The church office will be closed until opening. It will remain closed after being
opened. Open tomorrow.
At the Church Council meeting, the agenda was adopted, the minutes were approved,
and the financial secretary gave a grief report.
Hearing Assist Devices Available – If you have difficulty hearing during the services
in the sanctuary, check with the sound technicians. Hearing devices are available.
