Summer Reading Program 2015
“Read to the Rhythm!” Join us
for this year’s exciting summer reading
program, “Read to the Rhythm!” Sign
up begins June 3 and kicks off with craft
making & playing our Wii or Rock Band.
Programs and prizes are available for
ages 1 & up, including teen and adult
clubs. Story Hours are available for ages
3 & up. A library card is not required to
participate or attend the programs. This
s u m m e r f e a t u r e s m a ny t a l e n t e d
performers that entertain, educate &
encourage participants to read.
Drum Club (ages 1 - Kindergarten):
for children who cannot yet read
independently or who still need help with
their reading. Children in this club will
be required to listen to 40 books by June
30th. Bring the reading log back to the
library by July 10th to receive a certificate
& prize!
Monday & Wednesday 9 am - 6 pm
Tuesday & Thursday 9 am - 8 pm
Friday 9 am - 5 pm
Saturday 9 am - 3 pm
Tambouring Club (Beginner Grades 1 - 3) & Guitar Club
(Intermediate - Grades 4 - 8): These
reading clubs will run from June 3 - July
17. Children must register at the Jennie
Latzer Kaeser Children’s Library for the
Summer Reading Program. Children
registering for the Beginners Club will
have a goal of reading 15 books during
the program.
Children joining the
Intermediate Club will have a goal of
reading 7 chapter books. The grade
levels are only guidelines; parents may
discuss their child’s reading abilities
during registration.
Children who
complete the reading program will be
given a certificate & prize. Each child
will also be given a chance to enter a
drawing for various prizes (including
Kindles & Cardinals Tickets) when they
complete the program. Children should
turn in their reading logs on July 20 or
July 21.

(Tambourine/Guitar Club)
Whistling Wednesdays! 1:00 - 2:00 (Ages 3 & Up)
Mad Science Presents “Sounds Like Science” - June 10
Rick Rayburn Presents “Shake, Rattle & Rhythm” - June 17
Animal Tales presents “Animal Superheroes” - June 24
Mr. Steve presents “Magic & Rhythm” - July 1
Rick Kelly presents “Don’t Just Sit There” - July 8
Highland Kiwanis - “Stories w/ the Frontier Greys” - July 15
Toe Tapping Thursdays! 1:00 - 2:00 (drop in anytime during the
hour and make a craft - takes 15 - 20 minutes)
