Thanks for your support! Expanded Neighborhood Patrol Program ENP is a program in which off-duty Dallas Police Officers patrol neighborhoods. Our 5 Star ENP (managed by the Hillcrest East Crime Watch) employs Dallas Police officers using a Dallas Police vehicle equipped with a Mobile Data Terminal to run license plate and ID checks. Officers are authorized to apprehend suspects. The ENP area is between Forest Lane & Royal Lane, between Hillcrest Road and North Central. Why do we need an ENP? Safety is the #1 concern of the homeowners in our area, and neighborhoods with ENPs have seen a significant decrease in criminal activity. Just in our first year, the number of burglaries and auto break-ins dropped by over 20%. MORE MEMBERS = MORE PATROL SHIFTS The numbers of hours patrolled is determined by your support. Each membership means more patrol time. Officers patrol in 4-hour shifts at a variety of times, both day and night. Approximately half the crime in our area occurs during the day; the other half at night. Extra shifts are added at key times. BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP • Vacationing participants get extra surveillance • Email alerts will be sent to members with updates and information • Criminals are deterred by visible police presence • Area teenagers are discouraged from mischief • Reckless/speeding drivers will be deterred • Illegal door-to-door solicitation/handbills reduced • “Private Police Patrol” yard sign available for only $17.50 • ENP membership stickers/markers on participating resident mailboxes or curb. MEMBERSHIP COST Due to our large size, the annual membership fee is just $10 per month – $120 a year – a bargain. Smaller ENP’s charge as much as $600/year. Your support makes your own home safer, and the entire neighborhood safer.
