CONTROL PHILOSOPHY OF “.hmc.M -DryFog Dust Suppression System”
.hmc. conflow code-100 Dry Fog Dust Suppression System operates with compressed air & water synchronized through a twin port nozzle
atomizing water into a mist of microscopic particles. These droplets agglomerate join with the airborne dust, increasing weight so the
combined particle settles back into the main material stream. .hmc. Conflow code-100 Dust Suppression System eliminates fugitive dust
emissions from material handling and processing.
Specially designed AIR & WATER sonic atomizing nozzle with code-100 (air) mechanical controlled valve is allowed to shears water into
droplets of the desired size.
DS system has a special sonic nozzle with inbuilt anti drip valve, connected directly to the water line. The activation system is the code-100
(as shown in anx-1-enclosed)
The code-100 controls the inlet of air to activate the DS System.
With the slightest of load on belt the valve will open and allow passage of air to the nozzles, (minimum 5 bar)
The air push the anti drip valve in the nozzle and allow water and air to mix creating fine droplets of fog.
To control the nozzle (start stop the spray) it is the air line that requires signaling, due to the nozzle valve holding the water at the nozzle
without dripping, as soon as the air is turned on (usually via code-100 (mechanical sensing system) linked to conveyor start etc the valve
opens and lets air through atomizing into micron droplets, as the air is an open circuit.
When the air is stopped, the opposite happens and the valve closes again reducing from 5 bar operating pressure to 0, at 2.5 bar the water
valve closes, stopping the water ans as the air reduces from 2.5bar to 0 it blows the nozzle tip clean and purges itself, therefore every time the
nozzles stops spraying, it cleans itself.
(Self cleaning nozzle without any separate solenoid valve + electrical cabling etc)
It adds only minimal water to avoid material degradation. With the small droplets size and the fog’s effective dispersal pattern, moisture
addition is approximately 0.1% by weight of material conveyed.
Few important advantages:
Minimum addition of moisture on material
0% maintenance against electrical conventional dry fog system
(such as unreliable solenoid valve/cabling leakage / electrical sensing)
100% atomization
Mechanical sensing unit (100% fail-proof)
No electrical cabling required to activate system (No energy power consumption)
Operates at belts speed from 100FT/MIN to 750 FT/MIN, Maximum working pressure 105 bar
