MOMS Group
(Ministry of Moms Sharing)
This is our mission statement: As sisters in Christ, we are called to prayerfully support our roles as women and mothers of faith. We do this, guided by the
love of Jesus Christ and His mother, Mary, through discussion, personal reflection, prayer, and sharing.
Did you know that HNM Parish has a prayer group specifically tailored to the mothers of our Parish? Whether your children are teen-agers
driving for the first time or you’re still up to your elbows in diapers, this group is for you! You are cordially invited to join our group the
second Wednesday of each month for prayer, reflection, sharing, and discussion. We meet in the Day Chapel of the church from 9:3011:00. The remaining meetings of the year are April 15th, and May 13th.
We are currently reading the book Imitating Mary: Ten Marian Virtues for the Modern Mom by Marge Fenelon. You do not have to be
reading the book to join us, all are welcome! We also have babysitting available so bring your kiddos. The more, the merrier!
If you have any questions, please contact Rachel Keller at [email protected]/(909) 630-3742 or Janene Frank at [email protected]/(909) 8024024.

LENTEN COLLECTION
We journey with CRS Rice Bowl to Lebanon to be present to a people who themselves are on a journey. Here we meet a
family of Syrian refugees, a family perhaps not so unlike our own. We are challenged through our almsgiving this week to
reach out to those who are forced to flee their homes, who are seeking shelter in a land of peace.
GOSPEL
:
FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT
John 12:23-24
Reflecting the Word
Jesus often used farming and familiar life experiences to explain the kingdom of God to his listeners. He showed that he
understood the daily work of God’s people, and that God could be known through real life. The analogy of the grain of wheat
speaks volumes for anyone familiar with the cycle of life, and nature’s seasons. New life comes from death. One way of life,
the seed, is given up in order for a new way to blossom, the fruit. Creation reflects the truth of Jesus death that brings new
life.
……On the Way to Mass In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus tells a story about a seed. What experiences do our family members have of
seeds? Have you ever held a seed? What do you need to do in order to make a seed grow?
On the Way Home from Mass…… In this Sunday’s Gospel, we hear about how a seed falls to the ground and dies, and grows into a
plant that produces much fruit. What fruit came from Jesus’s Death?
