“MiSiS: AN INSIDE LOOK”
NEW SHOW AIRS ON KLCS-TV STARTING MONDAY
WHAT:
Starting Monday, April 20, the District’s local television station, KLCS-TV, will begin airing the
show: “My Integrated Student Information System (MiSiS): An Inside Look.” This special
presentation explores the District’s effort to build a modern, fully-integrated student
information system.
The half-hour program uses a hosted, in-studio format with three segments of conversations
with experts about the work the District has done to address the serious issues with the
rollout of MiSiS, and what the major next steps are to advance toward project completion.
Brief features – included between segments – will highlight voices from school employees
and their experiences with MiSiS, and give a glimpse into the “engine under the hood;” the
hardware in the District’s central data center needed to keep MiSiS running.
WHERE:
Whereas most of the program was recorded live-to-tape in studio, additional elements were
pre-packaged using footage taped on location at school sites and at District headquarters.
WHEN:
The initial broadcast airs on Monday, April 20 at 6:30 a.m. and again at
6:30 p.m. on KLCS-TV. (The station appears on Channel 58 on most Southern California
cable systems. Consult listings to find KLCS-TV in local areas.)
