Oahu’s Premier LGBT Events
The Hawai’I LGBT Legacy Foundation is a federally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization in
Hawai’i. It was formed in 2008 to connect and act as a facilitator with all other LGBT organizations,
businesses and services throughout the State of Hawai’i.
Vision Statement:
The Hawai`i LGBT Legacy Foundation is committed to a legacy of hope, equality, and unity. We
help our community live happy, healthy and productive lives as an integral part of the larger
diverse community that is Hawai`i.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Hawai`i LGBT Legacy Foundation is to support, empower, unify, and facilitate
LGBT organizations and individuals in Hawai`i.
Purpose Statement:
The purpose of the Hawai`i LGBT Legacy Foundation is to nurture and support its community by
creating a more healthy and compassionate environment for all.
Values Statement:
With respect and equality for all, the Hawai`i LGBT Legacy Foundation will carry out its mission
with compassion, excellence and integrity.
In April 2014 the Hawai’i LGBT Legacy Foundation opened the doors to The LGBT Center. This
center was created by the Hawai’i Legacy Foundation to begin the process of bringing all
interested parties together to coordinate and compliment each other’s goals and efforts; and
strengthen the network that ties the community together. Since The LGBT Center opening, the
following organizations have held over 60 meetings, with over 800 attendees, and over 180 hours
of usage: Honolulu Gay Men’s Chorus, Women’s Chorus, Equality Hawaii, Honolulu LGBT Cultural
Foundation Rainbow Film Festival, Life Foundation Halua, Dignity Honolulu, Lima Kokua, Imperial
Court, Aikana Investment., LGBT Graduation, LGBT Reading Club, LGBT Game Club, and the
Honolulu Pride Parade and Festival. Additionally, the Hawai’i LGBT Legacy Foundation held two
large fundraising events at The LGBT Center during the calendar year where approximately three
hundred invited guests attended.
Every year, friends and allies gather in Waikiki to raise awareness for equal rights and to celebrate
our diverse community. In 2015 the Hawai’i LGBT Legacy Foundation brought unity to the LGBT
community by assuming the responsibility of the Honolulu Pride Parade and Festival. We are
pleased to invite you to become a Sponsor of the Hawai’i LGBT Legacy Foundation and its’
projects to include The LGBT Center in Waikiki, and the Honolulu Pride Festival and Parade,

NUMBERS THAT CHANGE LIVES
In the last year, the Hawai’i LGBT Legacy Foundation has provided more than 1,300 direct service
visits, including:
The LGBT Center was
honored to host the 2014
LGBT Graduation for 18
young adults.
Life Foundation
conducted a
meeting at The
LGBT Center for
25 team members.
During the 2014 Honolulu
Rainbow Film Festival The
LGBT Center hosted 18 films
to over 320 members of the
community of all ages.
The educational
film “Kuma Hina”
was viewed by
over 115 members
of the local
community at The
LGBT Center.
The LGBT Center was utilized by 106
members of the Honolulu Gay Men’s
Chorus for over 10 hours of rehearsal.
The LGBT
Center was
utilized by 24
members of the
Honolulu
Women’s
Chorus for over
3 hours of
rehearsal.
The LGBT Center was utilized by 376 members
of the local community, of all ages, on National
Coming Out Day
The LGBT Center was utilized by 91
volunteers of Equality Hawaii over
25 hours of meetings and planning.
Dignity Honolulu conducted a
meeting at The LGBT Center for
10 board members.
The Hawai’I LGBT Legacy Foundation
reached out to thousands of individuals
to help make the 2014 Aids Walk a
success
