A HEARTY WELCOME TO ALL OUR GUESTS FOR PESACH 2015
We are delighted to have you with us this Pesach and wish you all a pleasant, peaceful
Yom Tov in Lavi. We hope the following information will help make your stay a most
enjoyable one.
Seder Night: Rabbi Ephraim Levitz will be conducting the public Seder. He will also
lead the services and the holiday meals and will teach shiurim in Hebrew and English.
Ephraim will also conduct activities for children.
If you have arranged for a private Seder, please check its location at the Reception
desk before the start of the holiday.
Synagogue Services will be organized during the entire Pesach period in the Hotel
synagogue (Tavor Hall). Schedule is on the bulletin board and in this booklet.
Our guests are always welcome to attend services in the Kibbutz Synagogue. Parents of
young children are requested to make sure that their children do not disturb the Service.
Shabbat and Yom Tov Candle Lighting: candles are prepared for you at the lobby
near the shop. For safety reasons please do not light candles in the rooms.
Shabbat Clock: All lights except in the bathroom are connected to the central Shabbat
clock which switches them off automatically (on Shabbat and last Chag from midnight until
9:00, on Seder night from 1.00 until 9:00 and again between 14:00 and 16:00). Guests in
the Eden, Hod and Hadar wings may request a different arrangement at the front desk.
Guests keeping Yom Tov Sheni – The Shabbat clock can be adjusted according to your
needs – ask at Reception.
Air conditioning: Eden and Garden rooms have independent air conditioners which
can be adjusted for heating or cooling as desired by the hotel guest. In the other rooms
the air conditioning will be centrally controlled and adjusted for either heating or cooling
according to weather conditions. Air conditioning will not be turned off on Shabbat or
Chag.
Coffee Corner: You can prepare hot drinks in your room daily. On Shabbat and Chag
hot water and milk will be available at drink stations.
A dining room representative will be present daily at the entrance to the dining
room on Chol Hamoed. Please make sure he knows about your meal plans - the number
of people who will be attending the meals, guests, etc.
Dinners on Chol Hamoed will include a variety of delicious meat and fish dishes and
desserts. If you would prefer a dairy dinner, please order it at breakfast time.
Box Lunch – Please place your order no later than 20:30 the evening before at the
Reception. Please specify meat or dairy. Pick them up at breakfast in the dining room.
Newspaper: Newspapers are for sale in the shop. Please order the night before at the
shop.
Mikveh for men: on the way down to the school on the left hand side. The Mikveh key
is available at the Reception desk throughout the Chag. (Room keys in Eden and Hadar
wings will open the Mikveh.) Erev Shabbat and Erev Chag Mikveh is open from noon.
The surrounding kibbutz You are welcome to walk in the kibbutz. A helpful brochure
is available at the reception desk.
Jogging and walking: Our peripheral road is ideal for this purpose. For your
enjoyment there is an archeological garden near the synagogue, a rose garden with a
playground, an outdoor fitness court, a multi-sensory garden, an oil press display with a
view of Mount Tabor, and a promenade with shaded benches offering a view of the Yavniel
Valley, Tiberias, etc.
Laptop Computers: free wireless internet connection available in lobby and hotel
rooms. A portable computer can be rented at the reception.
Ping-Pong: On Chol Hamoed outside Tavor hall. Paddles and balls are available at
Reception.
Tennis Courts: There are two tennis courts for your use near the pool area. Balls and
rackets may be borrowed from Reception.
Fitness Room: at your disposal in the shelter reached by the stairs opposite the lobby
elevators. Please check instructions and hours by the entrance. From age 16.
Dry Sauna: Located at the pool (entry from age 16). Use subject to instructions to be
found outside the sauna or with the life-guard). Open according to pool timetable.
Children’s World: Downstairs, in the shelter near the Hermon hall, is the CHILDREN’S
WORLD, (for children up to age 12), filled with a variety of games and toys. Check the
bulletin board for hours (children up to age 6 must be accompanied by an adult).
Parking: O N L Y in the parking lots marked “HOTEL PARKING” please! (you can enter
the hotel via the patio!), Parking in the roundabout in front of the main Hotel entrance and
alongside the road leading to the hotel – on the left side, is strictly forbidden.
Bills: We highly recommend that you settle your bills during Chol Hamoed, in order to
avoid waiting when checking out. In addition, on erev chag sheni the accounting dept. will
be open between 10:00-16:30.

Rabbi Dr. Sharon Shalom:
Rabbi Shalom is an Oleh from Ethiopia, a graduate of the Har Etzion Yeshiva, rabbi of the Kedoshei Yisrael congregation in Kiryat Gat, a lecturer at Tel Aviv and Bar Ilan Universities, and author of the book “From Sinai to Ethiopia.”
