It is natural that some babies do not survive birth. The midwives were concerned that if they happened to deliver a stillborn, it might appear as if they had carried out Pharaoh’s orders. Their prayers were answered and miraculously none of the babies died. Thus they are credited, not just with assisting in the births, but also with giving life to the babies. We are delighted to welcome all members and visitors to our beautiful and historic synagogue. Please join us for Kiddush after the service when we look forward to meeting you.
