Please note that all current undergraduate residents must consolidate to certain floors for the summer. Due to summer renovation plans room type preferences are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. A $100 deposit is required (check or money order payable to Rutgers University) . If you cancel your summer housing request or assignment you must do so in writing. We will keep the $100 deposit as the cancellation fee. Please note that if you do not want to move your belongings out of the Residence Halls you must pay for the Pre–Term /Pre Fall Period at the beginning and end of the summer. PLEASE SEE BACK OF APPLICATION... Important Information For All Applicants A $100 non re-fundable deposit is (payable to Rutgers, the State University) required from all summer housing applicants. This deposit will be credited to your summer housing charges. The deposit will be waived for students involved in the EOF Program. All applicants for summer housing MUST SUPPLY an official summer course schedule with the summer housing application. Failure to supply an official schedule will result in the removal of your summer housing application from the process. Students may only stay in housing during the contracted period. Students must remove all belongings by 6pm the day their contract period ends. Failure to remove belongings by 6pm at the end of the contracted period will result in additional charges that may include but are not limited to, storage of items, labor for removal of items, improper check out, and additional rental fees, etc. Off campus applicants are not eligble to move in prior to Session I. All summer housing fees must be paid in full by May 29th, 2015. Failure to pay your summer housing costs in full by the above date may result in immediate removal from summer housing. Current residents will be assigned a summer assignment within the building they currently reside in, with the exception of Woodward Hall residents will move to a space where available. All undergraduate residents must consolidate to certain floors. Students will assume all costs of moving. Woodward Residents Only- Please be advised that if you stay for the Pre-Term period you will need to remain in your current room until the designated move over time set for residents to move to your summer assignment. For those residents who will move to Talbott in the Fall and have signed up for the Pre-Fall session will need to move to your fall assignment earlier than the Fall check-in date. The official dates have not yet been designated. No student will be allowed to stay past the end of Session 2 (August 12th) if they have not been assigned a room for the 2015-2016 academic year. Professional Accounting Students– Please note that if you are planning on remaining in housing past August 12th, 2015 you must have completed a housing agreement for the 2015-2016 academic year. You can only stay past the 12th if you have received an assignment for the 2015-2016 academic year. The Summer Application is only valid for the summer of 2015. Students will receive notification of their summer housing assignment and bill via email by May 1st, 2015. All summer residents must abide by the “Guide to Residential Life” as published by the Office of Housing & Residence Life. Failure to comply with the “Guide to Residential Life” may result in your immediate removal from housing. Furthermore, all students must comply with the University Conduct Code and the University Housing Contract. I hereby understand and have read the terms of this contract on this agreement. Furthermore, I understand that if I sign this document I am responsible for all terms of the agreement as outlined in the “Guide to Residential Life”.
