Dear Resident,
As Chair of the Hammersmith & Fulham Residents’ Commission on Council
Housing, I am writing to introduce myself and my colleagues.
As you will see from the accompanying newsletter, the Commission has been set up
by the Council to look at how to give residents greater local control of their homes
and to explore ways of funding improvements to homes and housing services.
The Commission is independent and has promised to be objective, inclusive and
transparent.
Throughout the summer we will be collecting evidence from experts, listening to
residents’ views and investigating the potential options for council housing in the
Borough. We will be video recording each of the public hearings and posting these
videos on our website for those who are unable to attend. We expect to report back
to the Council in the autumn.
We are most keen to ensure that you have the opportunity to have your views heard.
You are welcome to submit evidence by writing to me at [email protected]. I and my colleagues on the Commission hope to meet and talk
to as many residents as possible over the next few months.
Further contact details can be found in the newsletter and by visiting our website
www.hf-residents-commission.org.uk where I invite you to sign-up to our email
newsletter.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, I will keep you informed of developments.
Yours sincerely,
Rt Hon Keith Hill
Chair, Residents’ Commission on Council Housing
