Falkland Islands AGM is today, please pray that good candidates will come forward for council,
and that our engagement with politicians will help secure the long term future of the cathedral
and help us raise funds to replace the roof.

HT Cannes is running a children’s Holiday Club (“Epic Explorers”). The first time we’ve done this
for a very long time, we’re hoping it will be a success and lead to great things in the future.

Adult baptism at St. Michael’s, Paris with many non-churchgoing friends and family attending.

Holy Trinity Cannes hosts the service for the Ecumenical Jury who give a prize for the film which
raises the most interesting moral or spiritual issues.

Bishop Robert takes a confirmation service at St. James, Voorschoten, joined by St. John and St.
Philip, The Hague. He will also spend Saturday evening with the St. James church council.

Leslie Dewar, a faithful member of the Cambridge Prayer Group, was concussed and injured
recently in a fall while repairing the roof of an outhouse. He has broken several ribs and is still
recovering; he is self-employed.
Vacancies
 Christ Church, Rio de Janeiro is looking for a new Chaplain. For details, see the ICS website or
phone the office. Deadline for applications: 11 May, Interviews: 1 June in Oxford.
 Saint Michael’s, Paris is advertising a new post for Children’s and Families Worker. Deadline for
applications: 19 May.
 John Moore leaves Saint Michael’s, Paris at the end of June to lead St. Stephen’s, Guernsey. The
church is therefore looking for a new Assistant Chaplain. Deadline for applications: 8 June.
We pray and give thanks for
 Holy Trinity Church, Maisons-Laffitte thank God for our busy and joyful Easter service. Pray for
those thinking about different ways to rekindle our monthly Family ‘All Age’ Service, that God will
give them inspiration, guidance, wisdom, creativity and sensitivity for this important ministry.
 EU Institutions: Please pray for many young professionals returning to the UK for the elections; for
their journeys, time away and energy in returning. Please also pray for more
discipleship/mentorship opportunities, as Jeremy tries to encourage fellow Christians in the
European Parliament in their faith.
 Anglican Church Basel: Pray for wisdom, discernment and stamina for new chaplain Revd Hilary
Jones. Also, please pray for 3 children to be admitted to communion before Confirmation on
Pentecost Sunday, that they might draw ever closer to Jesus through this service.
 Bush Church Aid Society: For the preparation of the rebranding of BCA later this year and for the
implementation of the new database. Please pray for our AGM and Annual Council Meeting in
Sydney (27-28), for wisdom in decisions that will be made.
 Amsterdam Southeast: We thank God for the responsive growth of the church and for the newly
elected leaders, especially the members that joined the church leadership team for the first time.
Please join us to pray that we grow from strength to strength. May we unite for its common goal
and use the opportunity of the unity for wider outreach especially in our operating area.
 Aquitaine pray for our Council meeting (7) and for the start of the discernment and recruitment
process to find a new chaplain, also for the chaplaincy wardens Paul Mazzotti and David Albrecht.
 Chris and Louise Maclay have their last service at St Mark's, Versailles on Sunday (3). Please pray
for their move (in a Renault Clio with 3 Setters and a cat!) and for interviews for a new Chaplain.
 St. Mary’s, Rotterdam: Jenni Pridmore, is settling in well and is now concentrating on the older
children and teens. Father Stephen is pleased that despite continuing security restrictions in the
port, new crews can be visited by volunteer ship visitors with links to particular fleets.
 We give thanks for the appointment of Paul Vrolijk as Chancellor and Senior Chaplain at Holy
Trinity, Brussels. Please pray for him and his family as they look at schools and housing in Brussels.
Also for our locum assistant chaplain, Richard (and Gill) Frost, here until the beginning of August.
 St. Marc’s, Grenoble asks for prayer to have the wisdom and resources to meet the changing
pastoral needs that are increasingly presenting themselves in Grenoble. Also, continue to pray for
our very challenging financial situation.
 St. George’s, Barcelona: we praise God for a very good Council last year and it looks like another
very good one in the year to come. Let us give God thanks for the sacrificial willingness of so many
to serve the kingdom in this way.
 St. John and St. Philip, The Hague: Prayer for Andrew’s continued recovery from his operation –
giving thanks for all those who have helped out during this period. We give thanks for the Alpha
course, we pray that many of the 20+ participants will now join one of our home groups.
 St. Clement’s, Prague: gives thanks for a congregation of 136 on Easter Day morning in Prague. The
biggest ever during Ricky’s seven Easters there. A successful Annual Church Meeting with
appropriate people elected to office, including a splendid new Treasurer!
 Arnhem and Nijmegen: We give thanks for a very good AGM: many people present and an
especially good atmosphere resulting in the appointment of a second churchwarden. We give
thanks for a number of new members who have joined us in the last twelve months.
 Heliopolis, Cairo: want to start an 18-team football competition for our Sudanese congregation and
for other churches - pray that we will be able to rent 10 hours of football field each week. Also for a
good induction of our new Sudanese priest Mattias - he will have to lead a 1000 active members’
congregation.
 ICS Seasonal Mission: Pray for David and Jenny Rouch ministering in Ibiza from 28 April – 11 June
and Richard and Harriet Allen in Interlaken, Switzerland from 26 May – 02 June.
