Each year, the North Deanery Youth Ministers and Priests present a $200 scholarship to a current 8th grader at each school. This award is based on an essay written about your faith experiences in grade school and a list of activities and service you have been involved in. The deadline for these forms is Tuesday, April 28, and should be returned to the school or parish office. The scholarship is for a Deanery or Diocesan activity during high school. The National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) is coming to Indy November 19-21. Registration forms and information are on the bulletin board in the back of Church. Remember to meet in the gym for class. There are many things that need wrapping up! A big shout out to the second graders for making their First Holy Communion; a presentation by the 4th/5th grade class; and a huge celebration for the graduating 8th grade with a volleyball game, food and gifts. Thomas Merton turns 100 In honor of Thomas Merton, one of the greatest spiritual thinkers of the 20th century, and his one hundredth birthday, the Adult Education class will do a five month study on Merton beginning April 8 at 9:30 am with a film on Thomas Merton. These dioceses are known as home missions. The Catholic Home Missions Appeal will take place this weekend with the regular collection, and supports these dioceses by funding essential ministries, including seminary training and lay ministry training.
