IICA participates in International Conference on ‘Enabling India &
Globe – Creating Digital Societies’
The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) organised an International
Conference on the theme ‘Enabling India & Globe – Creating Digital
Societies’ on May 8, 2015 in New Delhi. The Centre for e-Governance,
IICA participated in the event as the Knowledge Partner.
The Conference was divided into three sessions: ’Visionary Session‘,
‘Building Smart Digital Cities’ and ‘Economic Equality in Digital Bharat’.
The Conference included discussion on various topics such as Reforming
Government through
information
technology,
Software
product
development, Building Smart cities, Economic Equality in Digital Bharat,
Innovation and technological solutions for citizen engagement for Smart
cities and Make in India.
The IICA was represented by Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, DG&CEO and Mr.
Ram Sahai, Head, Centre for e-Governance. Other dignitaries present at
the event were Mr. Vimal Wakhu, CMD, TCIL, CEO – Ricoh India, Mr.
Vijar Lubi, His Excellency, Embassy of Estonia, Mr. J V Ramamurthy,
COO, HCL, Mr. Crai Stires, AVP, IDC Asia Pacific, Dr. Jaijit
Bhattacharya, Partner KPMG, Deloitte India, amongst others.
The programme was well received by all the participants.
