Innovators' Roundtable on ‘Building Foundation for Growth’ The Centre for Business Innovation, IICA organised a roundtable on March 24, 2015 at IIM Bangalore. The roundtable was organised to discuss the issues, practices and challenges of company formation in India. The participants explored the means of creating a sound foundation of the company and emphasised on the importance of forming a One Person Company, a Limited Liability Company or/ and a Private Limited company in order to manage the growth of a start-up. The programme commenced with the welcome address by Prof Sabarinathan, Chairperson, NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore. He appreciated IICA’s initiative of engaging with entrepreneurs and practitioners of innovative business. The first session was delivered by Shri J.K. Jolly, Joint Director, ICLS Academy and Shri M.R. Bhat, ROC Bangalore. The speakers interacted with the participants and provided them with solutions in meeting the challenges that arise during the formation of a new company. The interactive session was followed by discussions steered by Prof Anil B Suraj of Center of Public Policy and Ms Neela Badami of Samvad Partners. They shed light on the practical issues that arise in this regard during company formation and the challenges faced by entrepreneurs..
