One-Day Training Programme on Companies Act, 2013: A Primer The School of Corporate Law, IICA in collaboration with the Indian Society of International Law (ISIL) organised a One-Day Training Programme on Companies Act, 2013 on March 27, 2015 at New Delhi. The programme commenced with the welcome address by Shri. Narinder Singh, Secretary General, ISIL. He highlighted the importance of international law for the corporate sector and explained how the business has now become multinational which affects the common man on a daily basis. Mr. Singh also shed light on the key issues in international law such as international commercial arbitration. Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, DG&CEO, IICA delivered the keynote address and officially launched the Six Month Certificate Course on Corporate Law to be offered by the School of Corporate Law with the release of the course registration brochure. Dr. Chatterjee highlighted the need of training in Corporate Law and explained IICA’s role in the building capacity of stakeholders through customized training programmes. The inaugural session was followed by the technical sessions, which were delivered by experts in the field of Corporate Law such as Shri N.K. Jain, Member, ASSOCHAM National Council for Corporate Affairs and CSR, Mr. Satwinder Singh, Vaish Associates Advocates, Central council Member, ICSI, Shri G.P. Madaan, CEO, Corporate Knowledge Foundation, Mr. Raghvendra K. Singh, Partner, Kishore Singh and Associates Law Office.
