Hubbard Suite 100 Chicago, IL 60642 312/733-1026, ext 202 (O) 312/733-1791 (F) [email protected] On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Illinois Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (ICAAP), we invite you to participate in the 2015 Autism, Behavior, and Complex Medical Needs (ABC) Conference: A Trauma-Informed, Interprofessional Approach to Caring for Children with Special Needs on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Regency Conference Center in O’Fallon, IL. This event is sponsored by the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians (IAFP), ICAAP, and The Autism Program of Illinois (TAP). The ABC Conference was originally established in 2010 for pediatricians and pediatric primary care providers interested in learning more about providing health care to children with special needs. For the first time in 2014 the conference focus was expanded to bring together additional providers from primary care, specialty care, nursing, allied health fields, home visiting, child care and early education, Early Intervention, special education, and other fields. Participants learned about the broad landscape of services and programs that are available to support children with special needs from birth through childhood, and developed skills to make effective referrals and partner with other agencies and systems. While this year will mark the 6th Annual ABC Conference in Northern Illinois (November 20, 2015), ICAAP is excited to host our FIRST ABC South conference in 2015 after much demand by various stakeholders, including direct service providers, and we invite you to consider exhibiting. Approximately 150 physicians, allied health professionals and community service providers are expected to be in attendance to hear from local and national experts on traumainformed practices and special needs children’s health. Attendees will include providers representing hospitals, universities, community health centers, and private practices. All attendees will take valuable information back to use in their own organizations/practices. Your support as an exhibitor is critical to creating opportunities for attendees to learn about the products and services available for children with special needs, and for supporting ICAAP in offering a professional, high-quality event with excellent presenters. We hope to see you on May 15, 2015! Sincerely, Scott G.
