9th SCCA CONFERENCE REGISTRATION KICKS OFF
Registration for the 9th Stop Cervical, Breast and Prostate Cancer in Africa Conference (SCAA)
has officially kicked off online at www.sccakenya2015.org.
Kenya will host the 9th edition of the Stop Cervical, Breast and Prostate Cancer in Africa
Conference (SCCA) - through the Office of the First Lady of the Republic of Kenya – at the KICC
in Nairobi from the 19th to the 21st of July 2015.
The theme of this conference will be “Investing to Save Lives”: Role of Public & Private Sector
Partnership.
The SCAA was started to raise awareness about Cancer in Africa and endeavours to achieve
advocacy among both high profile individuals and the general populace. It also seeks to create a
platform to share lessons learnt - among the participants - whilst mobilizing both corporate and
political will and resources towards the campaign against cancer. The conference also seeks to
engage diverse communities in their shared path to success and in the process, fostering global
partnerships.
The 9th SCCA will focus on Cervical, Breast and Prostate Cancers with the aim of creating
awareness and utilizing existing opportunities to reduce the burden and deaths from Breast,
Cervical and Prostate cancers which are the biggest killers in Africa today.
This edition of the Conference will comprise of the following conveners, Ministry of Health
(MOH), Princess Nikky Breast Cancer Foundation (PNBCF) and the Office of the First Lady (OFL).
The conference will be graced by high-level delegates from Africa and across the world who will
include: Ministers, Speakers of Parliaments and Parliamentarians, First ladies as well as
renowned business men and women in the cancer medical field.
