Singtel SEA Games Video Competition
You are deemed to have (a) agreed to these Terms and Conditions; and (b) consented to
the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information by Singapore
Telecommunications Limited (“Singtel”) for the purposes of administering the
Competition by your participation:
1.
The Competition is open to teams formed by current students of local secondary
schools, junior colleges, polytechnics and ITEs during the “Qualifying Period” of 29
April 2015 to 27 May 2015. Participants must be supervised by a teacher of the
abovementioned educational institutions.
2. There will be 3 winning teams for the Competition.
3. Winning entry will be determined via a panel of judges at Comcentre II, 31B Exeter
Road on 28 May 2015 based on the criteria of:
45% - Artistic Merit
30% - Technical Merit
25% - Description of Prize Money Usage
4. Winners will be notified by email, phone or SMS. Winners who are not contactable
within 2 consecutive working days after attempted notification will be disqualified
and their prizes will be forfeited.
5. Winners have up to 2 months from the judgment date (28 May 2015) to collect their
prizes.
6. Unclaimed prizes within 2 months from date of notification will be forfeited. Prizes
not collected within 2 months will be disposed of at Singtel’s discretion which may
include donating to charity.
7. The prizes are neither exchangeable nor redeemable for cash or other prizes.
8. In the event that the prize incurs any tax liability, such tax is the sole responsibility of
the winner.
9. Prizes must be claimed in person. In the event that a designated representative is
sent to collect the prize, written authorisation from the winner including the
representative's name, I/C number and a photocopy of the winner's I/C are required.
10. Employees and agents of Singtel, as well as contractors or subcontractors engaged in
connection with the development or operation of the Competition, and their
immediate family members, are not eligible to enter the Competition.
11. Persons below the age of 18 are required to obtain their parents’ consent before
participating in the Competition, and confirm to Singtel that such consent has been
given, by their participation in the Competition. Singtel reserves the right to not
allow participation by any person, at its discretion.
12. Each participant is solely responsible for ensuring that participating in the
Competition is not illegal or prohibited by the laws or regulations of any country
relevant or applicable to the participant.
13. Singtel reserves the right to disqualify an otherwise eligible Customer from winning
a prize and/or substitute another Customer as the winner in the event that Singtel in
its absolute discretion believes that the particular Customer may have contravened,
will contravene or has contravened any of these Terms and/or may bring Singtel into
disrepute. In the event the prize has already been awarded to such a Customer, the
prize must be returned to Singtel at the Customer’s cost and expense.
14. Singtel reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of lower or
equivalent value, whether of similar nature or otherwise without prior notice.
15. By participating in the Competition, the winner consents to Singtel using the name
and picture/photograph of the winner in any advertising and/or promotional
materials and/or on Singtel websites without further notice, and may otherwise
engage the winner in any form of publicity for Singtel. Participants also agree that
Singtel may use the videos (or parts of the videos) uploaded by the Participants for
the purposes of marketing, advertising or publicity in association with the
Competition. Participants shall ensure that no intellectual property rights or any
rights of any third party are not infringed. Participant will be responsible for any
damages suffered by Singtel arising out of Singtel’s use of the videos in accordance
with these terms and conditions.
16. Singtel reserves the right to partially or completely cancel, terminate or suspend the
Competition for any reason without any liability whatsoever.
17. Singtel decisions on all matters pertaining to the Competition are final and binding.
No further correspondence regarding the Competition, these Terms or any decision
made by Singtel in connection therewith and/or the results will be entertained.
Singtel reserves its absolute right to determine an outcome and act as it deems fit in
any dispute and/or issues relating thereto.
18. Singtel shall not be liable to any person in any way for any loss or damage
howsoever arising from or in connection with the Competition and/or any of the
prizes.
19. Singtel may from time to time in its absolute discretion decide on the eligibility for
participation in the Competition.
20. Singtel reserves the right at any time to amend or delete these Terms and/or any of
the instructions or explanations at its sole discretion without prior notice. Any such
changes shall be binding and will take effect immediately upon such amendment,
change or deletion. Participation in this Competition shall constitute acceptance of
these Terms and any amendment(s) thereof.
