opportunity to legally take part in the Marabana Havana Half & Full
Marathon, under a special amateur sports license from the U.S.
Department of the Treasury.
The Marabana Havana Marathon and half-marathons will be held on
Sunday, November 15, 2015. InsightCuba, the Official U.S. Travel
Provider for the Marabana Havana Marathon, has created a 4-day,
3-night tour for the event.

Havana Marathon. You'll receive an introduction to this unique race
course which will allow you to jog through Cuba’s colonial and
contemporary history on the day of the race. As a runner’s companion,
you’ll participate in insightCuba’s special activities, providing unique

Half or Full Marathon
You’ll rest and relax at the Plaza Hotel, a historic property located in Old
Havana and only one block from the start of the race. The splendors of

Then join us on the Havana Marathon 8-Day Cool-Down tour giving
you a chance to explore Cuba after the big race.
Your first four days in Cuba are centered around the Marabana
Havana Half & Full Marathon on November 15. But give yourself a
reason to celebrate your feat and spend the next four days with
insightCuba on a people-to-people journey from Havana to the
western province of Pinar del Río, known for its quiet, red-earth
pastures, famous tobacco fields, and Viñales National park, often
considered the Yosemite of Cuba.
Participation on our Havana Marathon tours is permitted under two
general licenses provided by the U.S. Department of the Treasury,
Office of Foreign Assets Control. Runners will travel to Cuba under a
special amateur sports license. Companions will travel under a peopleto-people license. Runners and companions will participate in separate
excursions on Days 1-3, and then runners and companions will tour,
side-by-side on days 4-8.
