MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
IRA TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES
MAY 20, 2015
The Ira Township Board of Trustees met in the board room of the
Ira Township Hall on May 20, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting was
called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL:
Board members present: Robert McCoy, James Endres Jr.,
Thomas Jeannette
Absent: Crystal Sovey, James Jacob
Also Present: Township Attorney
NEW BUSINESS:
Proposed Property Purchase
Parks and Rec Director gave presentation on potential uses
for Fair Haven Elementary school building.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Approximately 50 people in attendance, the majority of
comments were not favorable to the purchase of the school
property
Moved by T. Jeannette to enter into closed session at 5:58
p.m. to discuss possible property purchase with township
attorney, supported by J. Endres.
All voting yes.
Opposing: None
MOTION CARRIED
Returned to open session at 6:08 p.m.
Moved by R. McCoy to approve minutes of the closed session
transcribe by T. Jeannette, supported by J. Endres.
All voting yes.
Opposing: None
MOTION CARRIED
Motioned by J. Endres supported by R. McCoy not to pursue
the purchase of the Fair Haven Elementary school building.
All voting yes.
Opposing: None
MOTION CARRIED
ADJOURNMENT:
With no further business to discuss, Supervisor McCoy
adjourned the meeting at 6:12 p.m.
