pioneers, leaders and advocates - CSR Islamic Reporting Initiative

IRI
TM
The Islamic Reporting Initiative invites
pioneers, leaders and advocates
of Corporate & Social Responsibility
to join us in launching the first mainstream reporting standard for CSR
based on Islamic principles and values.
Sustainability and CSR reporting is moving into a
new phase; no longer just a reputational activity,
responsibility reporting is becoming a crucial factor
in investment decisions. It is therefore imperative
that companies worldwide are implementing, and
accurately reporting on, comprehensive social
and environmental activity.
The Islamic Reporting Initiative (IRI) is a nonprofit organization which aims to, with and for
organizations in the Islamic world, develop the
first mainstream CSR reporting tool which is
aligned with Islamic principles and values, and
meets the highest international standards of
best practice.
Responding to a market need for a globally
recognized CSR reporting tool which embraces
the nuances of local and cultural contexts,
the IRI will enable organizations to report
inclusively on matters most relevant to them.
The IRI promotes ‘triple bottom line’ reporting
and will enable organizations to assess, report,
verify and certify their CSR programs through an
integrated approach.
The IRI aims to sustainably accelerate progression
towards prosperous, inclusive societies with the
vision to build a cultural legacy of organizational
sustainability, immediately benefiting organizations
in over 50 countries.
The initiative is rapidly gaining momentum
and support from businesses, governmental
organizations, not-for-profit organizations and
educational institutions from all over the world.
Strategic partnerships are an essential element in
reaching the full potential of the IRI, and, as such,
the IRI invites organizations across all sectors to
contribute to the development of the IRI in differing
capacities.
