For Hospitality and tourism Management Department
(School of Management and Economics) 1/3
1. Inform every teacher in Department Meeting about
- Due date to submit TQF 3, how to submit
- Update course content
- Update course assignment
- Take “improvement plan” from TQF 5 into writing TQF 3
- Inform course coordinator to have “Subject meeting”
2. Chairperson and HTM staff will check mails to collect all TQF 3 files sent by all
course coordinators and do follow-up with courses that do not submit TQF 3 yet.
(Cross check with TQF 2)
3. Chairperson will read TQF 3 of all courses and if something needs modification,
chairperson will discuss with course coordinators.
4. After agreeing with all TQF 3, HTM staff will upload TQF 3 on website concerned.
Monitoring of the teaching – learning process

For Internship
- Orientation
- Assign advisors (Ajarn) to students who will monitor student internship
- Visit companies and get feedback from the supervisor of the students (oral and
written)
- Meet all students doing internship. Students must write a written report and do
presentation before mid-term and after mid-term (reports are graded)
- Have the company’s supervisor evaluate the student performance in written form
which will be part of the student’s grades.

1. Admin/School inform the instructor the submission data of TQF 3
2. Instructor has to submit TQF 3 via email to the head department 1 week before
the semester start.
 If there is any correction, the chairperson will feedback the problem to
instructor and revise the final version

TQF3 Routine
1. Once invitation for class teaching is sent, Director of Graduate School includes a
clause indicating his request of TQF3 as well as course outline prior to the
commencement of the class.

2. Upon the first four weeks of the class, a staff from GSB reminds the faculty
members to submit TQF 3 within the month.
3. Second reminder is sent, in case no TQF3 turned in from any concerned
members.
4. The follow-up steps are in both email and personal telephone call.
5. If the concerned faculty members fail to submit TQF3 by the time the course on
the trimester is over, remuneration will be held.
6. Remuneration on other subjects, though with complete TQF3 & TQF5, will also
be held till TQF3 & TQF5 of all subjects responsible during the passing terms are
submitted.
7. Delay or failure in turning TQF3 & TQF5 may result in performance measurement
or bonus consideration of the persons concerned.

least 5 persons + chair person.
Matching Ajarns to subjects that they are expert in and fix them for at least 5

1. Process of doing TQF 3
1.1 Program Director sends e-mail to Facilitator
1.2 Doing sent it back(By matching with TQF 2)
1.3 Send back if the Director has the questions; Director will send the questions
on e-mail.
2. Monitoring system
2.1 Program Director has the right to enter all the subjects as her name will be
on the list for the class forum.
2.2 Dean also has the right to enter all
2.3 If both of them see some of the particular issue in the class forum, they can
be getting involved in that issue.
2.4 Program Director and the dean will evaluate on how quickly the facilitator
responds to the email of enquiry from students.

System and Mechanism for TQF 3/4 Preparation
1. TQF3 and TQF4 are prepared and submitted 30 days before the semester starts.
2. The department head reviews the TQF3/4 in order to check the information on
course description, content, five domains of learning if they match with TQF2.
3. The department head also recheck the improvement plan of TQF3 and problem
indicated in the TQF5 of the previous year. Submit to academic affairs.
Monitoring of Teaching and Learning
1. School’s Academic Committee organizes a meeting to plan the school’s class
observation (undergraduate).
 2 classes (one from Food Tech department and one from Agro Industry)
2. Provide feedback to the instructors
3. End of the semester evaluation (School’s level)
4. Exam paper and grade defense with external committee

TQF 3
 Discuss and determine the date for submission of TQF3 of the next semester in
the Department’s meeting.
 The date for the submission must be 2 weeks before the next semester begins.
 On the date of submission the teachers will have to sign their names on the
TQF3 submission form.
 The Department’s DAC’ will be the responsible person who checks that the TQF3
submitted corresponds with the TQF2 of the program and TQF5 of the previous
semester.
 The teachers make some correction if needed (ideally before the semester
begins).
 The responsible person uploads the TQF3 files on LMS.
 Class observation is carried out to check if the plans and methods in the TQF3
are implemented in classes.
 The Department will have a summary and discussion on the TQF3 of that
semester during the semester.
Monitoring of Teaching-Learning Process
 The course outlines are submitted to the Department.
 DAC’ checks the course outline if it corresponds with the course description and
TQF3
 During the semester, the class observation is carried out to observe the teacher’s
performance, students’ response, class atmosphere, teaching methodology used
and learning outcome specified in the TQF3.
 To verify the students’ learning outcomes according to TQF3, the DAC’ will check
and review the content, the format, mark allocation of the Mid-term and final
exam.
 The External Committee appointed by the university will check and review the
content, the format and mark allocation of the final exam to ensure the quality,
up-to datedness of the content of the exam.
 Grade cross-check will be done before the submission of the grade.
 The External committee will come to review the grade of every subject in every
semester.
 Teachers and students discuss about the students’ performance in quizzes and
Mid-term exam. Students are allowed to access their final paper if they need to.
 For the subject with more than 1 instructor, the course coordinator will be
assigned. The coordinator will be called for a meeting at least once a semester to

discuss about the course content, the teaching mythologies, marks allocation and
job allocation.
Experience sharing and discussion of problems on the Teaching-Learning of that
semester will be done in the department meeting.

TQF 3, 5 and 7 are online. Thus, this automated system can send alert message for any
in completed documents. Furthermore, any school has periodic newsletters among
faculty members, and completion of TQF3 and 5 are reminded every time.

Once laid out in the beginning, a few years ago. No attempt to change, no
scrutiny, no criticism, no alteration. Heads compile the work and that is all.
2. Monitoring of content in TQF3 & TQF5. Each is responsible for his/her own work.
No strong opposition is voiced yet.
3. Monitoring of class relies heavily on the students’ evaluation of instructors’
performance. Without students’ input, they cannot access the grade report.
There is no direct monitoring or control from the senior lecturers on the junior
ones.

 TQF 5/6-Faculty members write TQF5 and submit it to Department Head
within 30 days after the semester ends (problem: evaluation result,
Grade)
o In case of internship, faculty members prepare TQF4 and submit it
30 days before the semester begins.
o Thesis/ dissertation/ final project present to the committee
o write more detail about activities serving the five domains of
learning
 TQF 7-Department Head summarizes all reports and prepares TQF7 and
submits the report to the University within 60 days after the academic
year ends.

Supervision of the teaching - learning evaluation and program evaluation (TQF
5, 6 and 7)
 The department sets up the date of TQF5 submission which is usually on the
grade submission day.
 The course coordinator will call for a meeting to discuss and sum up the writing
of TQF5.
 DAC checks the content of the TQF5, the implementation of TQF3, effectiveness
of the methodology used, the implementation of the improvement plan proposed
in the previous course report as well as the improvement plan proposed for the
next semester.

The Department discusses the problem, the suggestion, the plan specified in
TQF5 in the Department meeting.
The instructors will have to sign their names on TQF5 submission form.
The responsible person uploads TQF5 files on the website.
At the end of Academic year, the DAQC will collect the TQF3 & 5 of all subjects
offered in that academic year, plus the department meeting minutes on this topic
to make a summary for the discussion on the writing of TQF7.
The discussion results will be conveyed and open for suggestion in the
Department meeting.
The TQF7 of the previous academic year will be taken into account during the
time of discussion in the department meeting.
TQF7 will be written according to the discussion result and submitted to the
school within the deadline.
The finished TQF7 is conveyed to all the faculty members in the first meeting of
next academic year.
