**Rehearsal is the day of the pageant**
All Contestants:
Each contestant competes with her age ONLY, except for Miss- ages 17-20.
The following will be optional:
*Spring sportswear competition for $10. Sportswear will be judged first.
*Photogenic competition: Pictures (no larger than 8x10) need to mailed with your
application.
More than one photo may be entered. Each photo is $10.
Please be sure to put the contestant’s name on the back of the picture. We will not be
responsible for any pictures left or damaged in mailing.
*Best Dress in your category for $10
The dressing areas will be in the Johnston Elementary hallway.
A discount will be given if you compete in all categories. A multiple child discount of $5 is
offered. The mother is admitted free with each contestant.
Winners will be asked to ride in the Johnston Peach Blossom Parade on May 2, 2015 in
Johnston. If you are unable to ride, the 1st runner up will be asked to ride in your place.
Division I – Infant – 9 years old – 10:00
Doors to the gym will open at 8:30 for practice. All contestants are asked to arrive no
later than 9:30 to register and pick up their number and any photogenic pictures. Division I
contestants will be judged in short pageant dresses. Winners will receive a crown, banner, and
trophy. Division I contestants will receive a participation tiara, because everyone is a winner!
Division II – Ages 10 – 20 – 3:00
Doors to the gym will open at 1:30 for practice. All contestants are asked to arrive no
later than 2:30 to register and pick up their number and any photogenic pictures. Practice will
end at 2:50-no exceptions.
*Attention: Miss Contestants (ages 17-20)
**Miss contestants please meet at the Johnston Presbyterian Church beside the gym for a 5
minute interview at 1:00. Interview suit or dress is preferred.
**Miss contestants will practice as a group at 2:15. **Please wear a black dress for the
opening parade of the Miss contestants. *Miss winners will receive a crown, banner, trophy
and a $500.00 scholarship to the college of her choice! **The “Miss” category includes
interview, sportswear, best dress, photogenic and evening gown. The cost for the Miss
division is $75.00. You must compete in all categories in order to be eligible for the
scholarship.
