We offer individual instrumental lessons, Group classes,
Jazz band, percussion and drum classes, as well as
workshops and seminars on a variety of topics.

ACOUSTIC GUITAR GROUP BEGINNER CLASS: Shaun
Whited Wednesdays 2:30-3:30
Learn to play easy songs on the acoustic guitar in just a few
sessions. Play the chords of famous songs like “Oh when the
saints go marching in” . Age 7-11
ACOUSTIC/ELECTRIC GUITAR GROUP INTERMEDIATE
CLASS: Shaun Whited Wednesdays 4-5 pm
You already know the easy chords and some strumming and
picking? Great! Go to the next level of Guitar playing. Learn
some cool licks, melody playing, Rock,/Folk./Blues
accompaniment
THE MUSIC BUS 1 & 2: Jennifer Holly Tuesday 3-3:45 (3-4
years) and Tuesday 4-4:45pm ( 5-6 years)
A creative introduction to the world of music, including
percussion, singing, hands on discovery of different music
instruments, crafts and games. A perfect music orientation class
for the 3-4 and 5-6 year old who want to discover the world of
music. 2 different classes for 2 different age groups.
JAZZ BAND INTRODUCTORY COURSE 5&6TH GRADE:

For the instrumentalist who has practiced for 2 years and would
love to explore the world of Jazz, Blues and
Other creative music styles. All instruments welcome!
Introduction into Improvisation. Reading and ear training.
JAZZ BAND INTERMEDIATE COURSE FOR MIDDLE
SCHOOL GRADES: Josh Ferrer Monday 4-5:30 pm
For 6-8th graders ( entering 6th graders), be in a swinging Jazz
and Blues band. Instruments accepted: All Brass, All woodwinds,
piano, bass, guitar, drums, percussion. Learn standard Jazz
tunes, improvisation and how to play and vibe together.
Folk/Acoustic Band : Jennifer Holly Friday 2-3:30pm
Play beautiful celtic and other folk tunes on acoustic instruments:
tin whistle, fiddle, violin, guitar, and any other folk instrument
ADVANCED JAZZ BAND & IMPROVISATION CLASS:
Mr. Makinto Wednesday 5:30-7 pm
Jazz Band for High schoolers and entering 9th graders. Prepare for
Jazz Band in High school. We will study Jazz Band charts and
focus on improvisation techniques. All instruments, but minimum 3
years of instrumental experience
JOYFUL CHOIR : Jennifer Werfelmann Monday 5:30-7 pm

3 grade – 8th graders with a love for singing
Experience the joy of singing in a group setting. Develop your
voice, learn how to harmonize, We will be studying songs from a
variety of genres and styles. Performance at the end of the course.
AFRICAN AND CARIBBEAN DRUM WORKSHOP
Mr. Makinto. Kids: Tuesday 5:30-6:30 pm,
Adults: Tuesday 7 - 8:15 pm
Come and beat the drum with Mr.Makinto, develop easy rhythms
and learn how to “groove”. A very stimulating yet relaxing “feel
good” class… 2 age groups, Offered for kids and adults separately
TANDEM CLASSES : All instructors/ Individual scheduling
This signature class is perfect for 2 children, especially 2 friends or
siblings, between 4 and 8 years old who want to start playing an
instrument
Mutual motivation and fun are essential part of this class. A perfect
way to start the wonderful journey of playing music
ELECTRIC ROCK/POP BAND: Lawrence Pi Thursday 4-5:30 pm
Play electric guitar, drums, bass, piano/keyboard, sing? Want to
learn famous Rock or Pop tunes? This is your class! Bring your
instrument, we give you the amp and microphone and show you
how to rock out!
ELECTRONIC MUSIC COURSE: Music arranging &
composing

Want to put your music on Youtube, write a music score for your
favorite video or simply record your composition using free music
software? Lawrence shows you totally cool ways of working your
computer for music. Own laptop is required

Joyful Choir

Course description: For grade 3-8
Dive into the world of harmony, sing together with others,
develop your voice in a unique setting. This fun choir will
make you never want to stop singing again.
Join our new Vocal and Choir teacher Jennifer
Werfelmann in a fabulous choir experience with new and
old songs of a variety of genres. We will sing
contemporary pop as well as old gospel songs and
explore many other music styles. Mondays 5:30-7 pm

Course description:

This class is an introduction to the exciting world of music. We
will explore music by:
- Playing drums and percussion instruments
- Singing and playing musical games
- Hands-on introductions of new instruments (piano, guitar,
etc.) and instruments of other cultures
- Compiling a binder of coloring pages drawing musical
instruments

This is a new class which teaches playing together in a
acoustic setting: Guitars, Violin, Flutes, Harmonica, Ukulele.
Irish folk, bluegrass, country and other folk songs , this is a
wonderful class to bond together with rhythm and style.
TANDEM CLASSES

Grades PreK and K ages 3-8
The Tandem Classes are introductory level sessions that
give beginners the opportunity to explore an instrument.
We team up two children of similar ages (perfect for siblings
or best friends) to introduce your instrument of choice in a
simple yet exciting way. Tandem Classes are given for:
Piano, drum set, guitar, flute, sax, clarinet, trumpet and
voice. It is fun to start a new journey together with your BFF

Electric Rock & Pop Band

Grades 6-10
This class is for the electric musician and singer who wants
to play/sing their favorite Rock/Pop song and create a cool
band atmosphere, practicing like a professional band. If you
want to experiment with Electric/acoustic guitar, bass,
keyboard/piano, drums, vocals, this is your class! Bring your
instrument (amplifiers and loner instruments are available)

$25/session - $150/6 week, payable at the
beginning of the course. Classes missed can not be
reimbursed, but absences stated inadvanced (i.E
vacation absence) will be prorated.

African Rhythm and Hand Drum workshop
Acoustic & Acoustic/electric guitar course

This course is perfect for the dinner table banging, rhythm
exuding child, or the curious adult who always wanted to
explore the fascinating world of African and Caribbean
rhythms. Playing drums together is one of the most exciting
and unifying musical experiences. Come and be part of this
cool course led by Makinto, and feel the rhythm pulsing
through your hands and spirit. Very exciting, yet relaxing
experience! Bring your own Conga, Djembe, Bongos, or other
hand drums, or use our loaner instruments ( limited quantity
available)

Since 2011, our legendary Jazz Band program has equipped
students interested in Jazz with a solid foundation of combo
and Big Band as well as Improvisation techniques. Our
Intermediate Jazz program ( Middle school) is preparing
students for High school Jazz Band, and we have graduates
of our program in famous schools like Orange County High
school of Arts winning awards. Our Introductory program is
ideal for the total beginner who has never played Jazz to
explore the fascinating world of Jazz, Blues, Rock and
improvisation.
Course 1: Starter, ages 7-11

Never played guitar, always wanted to strum a song or
learn your favorite tune? The guitar starter course is the
perfect introduction into the wonderful world of playing
guitar. Foundational chords, easy strumming and picking
techniques will allow your child to rapidly enjoy playing
easy songs out of a broad variety of song repertoire. It is
preferable to own your own guitar, but loaner guitars are
available.
The intermediate course has room for electric guitars, but
you need to bring your own little amp (limited
amplification available )
