Laguna Middle School will be holding its 8 Grade Dance/Party, on Thursday, June 11, 2015, from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.
The following policies have been established regarding this activity.
1.
The event will be held in the Laguna Middle School Multi-Purpose Room, Activity Quad, and Gym. Students must
remain inside the Multi-Purpose Room, Gym or in the Activity Quad.
2.
The hours of the event are 7:00 – 9:30 pm. Students may leave before 9:30pm ONLY if their parents come to the door
for them. A student must be in attendance for at least half of the school day in order to participate.
3.
Tickets are $10.00. Checks can be made payable to LAMS PTA. Students must have this parent permission slip
signed before purchasing a ticket.
4.
Students are to make their own arrangements for transportation prior to the event. Pick up time is 9:30 p.m.
Please save limousine rentals for another evening.
5.
Only 8 grade students enrolled at Laguna Middle School are eligible to attend. Students on Activity
Probation are not allowed to attend.

Parents and students should also remember the following regarding appropriate dress for our Dance/Party:

All Students - This is a special evening and it often gets chilly at night, so we are asking students to
dress accordingly. Clothing you might wear to a wedding or religious function would be appropriate
and all clothing should be appropriate for our middle school.

Girls – Please do not wear dresses that are too short or too revealing, shorts or blue jeans. Our school
dress code is still in effect, though we will allow spaghetti-strap dresses for this evening. Young ladies
may also want to consider the comfort of the shoes they choose….

Boys - Please dress neatly and wear a shirt with a collar. Please do not wear tuxedos, suits, shorts or
blue jeans.

7.
The same regulations regarding student conduct prevail at school dances as prevail during the regular school day.
8.
Any requests made by the teacher or parent chaperones are to be accepted and followed.
9.
There will be food, drinks and snacks at the dance.

ticket to the dance. These signatures will indicate that rules have been read and will be followed by the student.
