Nature’s Classroom: Spring Field Trip Program at Glen Leven Farm
The Land Trust for Tennessee’s Glen Leven Farm is a perfect outdoor classroom with
resources unlike any in our area, including a honey bee sanctuary, an educational garden,
historic house and more! We are happy to welcome students in Grades K-8 to visit the

Saturday, April 18 from 1 to 4pm: Family Farm Day at Glen Leven
Daffodil talk by NPT’s “Volunteer Gardener,” Troy Marden, art installation by Metalangelos,
Kids Program: Nature’s Classroom Adventure Tour, Jackalope Brewery tasting station,
explore the honeybee sanctuary with beekeeper Matt Slocum, music on the back porch,

Wednesday, April 22 from 8 to 9:30am: Nashville Mayoral Forum
The Land Trust for Tennessee, The Cumberland River Compact, Greenways for Nashville
and The Nature Conservancy are sponsoring a Davidson County Mayoral Candidate Forum
on Land and Water Conservation at The River Center. The Q & A will be moderated by

Thursday, April 30 from 6 to 9pm: The Castle Rock Climbing Bash
Please join The Land Trust for Tennessee and the Tennessee River Gorge Trust along with
The Conservation Fund, Harvey Cameron and The Southeastern Climbers Coalition to
celebrate our partnership to protect Castle Rock, one of Southeast Tennessee’s premier
rock climbing sites. . Music! Food Trucks! Beer! At the Crash Pad in downtown Chattanooga:
$5 donation gets you a pint glass and a beer; $3 beers after that!

Saturday, May 2 from 5:30 to 10pm: PRB’s Tennesse Farm Dinner
A fun-filled night under the stars! Porter Road Butcher and Tennessee Grass Fed Farm
are hosting a farm dinner boasting the bounty of Tennessee with barn dance to follow.
A portion of the proceeds benefit The Land Trust’s work protecting Tennessee’s farms and

Tuesday, May 5 all day: The Big Payback
Help us save more land! Make gifts to The Land Trust through a community-wide, 24-hour
online giving challenge hosted by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
Donations will be amplified by matching funds, bonuses, and additional prizes. It will be a

Davidson County Soil Conservation District cordially invites you to a free Field Day at our
Glen Leven Farm! Farmers & landowners can learn how to increase farm production, save
money with the land you own, protect historical lands, as well as learn about a variety of
