This weekend we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Baptism for Katerina
Rose Vovk. We welcome her into the body of Christ and the fellowship we
share.
Children aren't just welcome, they are embraced. We know kids are
in worship and make noise. The psalmist David said, “make a joyful noise to
the Lord!” It’s great to hear all people respond during worship. If your child
should need a break, there is child care available in room 110. Parents are
always welcome to stay with their children there. Parents must sign children
in and out of nursery care.
Clipboards and Bible bags are available for children’s use during worship
and can be found at the main entrance to the worship area.
Members and guests are invited to sign the Friendship Register, pass it down
the row for other worshippers to sign, and introduce yourself to those worshipping around you.
Let your friends know about Holy Spirit by tweeting, checking in, Instagraming, etc. that you are here. Our congregation's hashtag is #LCHolySpirit.
While you are on your phone or tablet, please make sure it is on silent so
you do not disrupt our worship time together.
SUNDAY MORNING FAITH FORMATION, 9:45am
This Week: Easter—no program scheduled.
FELLOWSHIP & HOSPITALITY...in Room 117/119. Meet and greet sisters and
brothers in Christ. Take time to relax and connect with your church family. All are
welcome.
Next Week: The next four sessions will focus on Lutheran doctrine, our full communion partners, vocation, and Luther’s small catechism. These important topics will
provide the support we seek to grow and practice our faith.
April 12 - Full Communion - A Gift from God, Pastor Kurt Garbe
We will explore what it means to be in "Full Communion"---what are the benefits
and limitations. We will discuss the key position of the ELCA in the ecumenical
world. Then we will briefly delve into each of our full Communion partners. Pastor
Garbe is an Associate of Bishop Zeiser and serves the Lehigh Mission District of the
Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod/ELCA.

February 2015 Financial Results and Discussion:
Operating Performance: February was another
month of poor financial results. Bad weather continued
to affect attendance, revenue, and operating expenses.
Revenues totaled $55,647 while expenses were $73,666, resulting in a deficit
of $18,019 for the month. Operating revenue was $7,100 short of budget,
largely due to pledge shortfall.
Year to date our revenue is $132,703, while expenses are $160,093, resulting
in a deficit of $27,390 after only two months. Overall revenue through February
is down $15,200 to our budget plan, partly driven by Thrivent contributions,
which are down $4,500. Overall expenses through February are up $5,300 to
budget, mainly due to electricity and service contract expense. We have already
spent $9,830 of our entire year’s $11,000 budget for snow plowing and salting!
On the plus side, Building maintenance was $660 under budget for February.
Available Operating Cash: Because of the large operating deficit to date, our
available operating cash balance has dropped to $35,143. We began the year
with $63,492. Building Fund: We began the year with a balance of $35,509.
The balance is now $22,769. The final payments have now been made for the
HVAC compressor replacements in the sanctuary and for the classroom HVAC
project.
Please Note: If you have been unable to attend church, in order to help sustain
our cash flow we would greatly appreciate it if you could make every effort
possible to catch up or even advance pay part of your planned yearly financial
commitments to our church. In addition, we ask that you prayerfully consider
making an additional donation to help us offset our revenue shortfall and our
heating and snow removal expense. So far in March we have received $1,230 in
donations toward this appeal. Thank you!
TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME! Mark your calendars for the Iron Pigs
vs. Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees on Friday, June 19th. Game time is 7:05 pm.
Fireworks to follow the game. Sign up (in the lobby at the Event Sign Up Center)
and prepay required. Tickets are $10 a person and are along third base this year. A
limited number of tickets are available. Questions, please see Karin Kahler.
HOLY SPIRIT’S GIVING KIOSK is in the Lobby. If you would like to do
your giving or make a donation via a credit/ debit card, please feel free to use the
kiosk in the Lobby. The kiosk is set up to receive credit/debit card payments If
you register, thereafter you will be able to log in using your phone number. Your
giving will be recorded and a receipt sent to your e-mail address. You may also
make an anonymous donation. Instructions for using the kiosk may be found at
the kiosk. For additional information contact Bob Schuchart, Lorie Sherman, or
Pam Harshey.
A RETURN TRIP TO TANZANIA is being planned for 2016. Dates are being
finalized—most likely to be the end of the summer/early fall or the middle of June.

contact Rick or Ruth Doty, [email protected], 484.225.2619, or Dianne Fox,
[email protected], 610.791.1123. Next meeting of those interested and
curious to witness God’s Spirit at work in the many ministries in which our
missionaries are involved, will be Sunday, May 3rd, noon, in the All Saints Room.
RUN, JOG OR WALK each Sunday after worship. All paces are
invited to meet Bob Middeke-Conlin and others today at 12:30 pm. We
will meet at the Fish Hatchery parking lot and running the Parkway.
Interested in running a 5K, 5 miler, a half or even a full marathon with
church friends? Talk to Pastor Becca about upcoming runs that church
members are planning to tackle.
