The Babraham Research Campus, home of
the Babraham Institute, is 6 miles south-east
of Cambridge City Centre.
Road network: Six miles south of Cambridge
City, the site is 6 miles (11 minutes’ drive)
from junction 9a of the M11, connecting via
the A11 and the A1307 and 22 miles from
Stansted Airport.

1948. Companies have been on the campus
since 1998. The co-location of academic and
commercial science, Babraham Research
Campus provides 12,500 sq m (which in
December 2015 will increase by a further
2,100 sq m ) of serviced facilities located
on a 182 Ha parkland estate. The campus
provides specialist facilities, services and
expertise with flexible terms to meet the
demands of start-up and more established
life-science businesses. Currently, the
campus hosts 60 biotech companies on-site.
It is a mix of modern laboratory facilities
with historic buildings and hosts six main
bio-incubators/grow-on buildings with
technical facilities.

the Royal Docks, Tech City, the City Fringe, Kings Cross, and the Olympic Park, up through the Lee Valley, the M11, A1 and A10 road, the East
Coast and West Anglia Mainline rail corridors to Stevenage, Harlow and Stansted, and through to Cambridge and Peterborough. The consortium
brings together public and private sector organisations which have the common aim of seeking economic growth, higher employment rates,
providing places for people and business while preserving the quality and character of the corridor. It members include the local authorities, LEPs,
