2015-16 STUDENT PLACEMENT INFORMATION
Parents are encouraged to provide the principal with student placement information for students in grades
K-5 by May 1. Also: If you know that your child will not be returning to Maple Grove next year, please
notify the office as soon as possible.
TALENT SHOW AUDITIONS
WHEN: Auditions will be held on April 28, 29, 30 at 7:45 – 8:30 a.m. or 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Audition times will not be assigned. Just come before or after school on one of the audition days.
WHAT: REAL TALENTS (something you have been trained, or are training, to do); NO LIP SYNCING;
length 2 min.; You can only try out in one act!!!; COME IN COSTUME, BRING YOUR MUSIC
The talent show will be held on Monday, June 1st.
Audition forms are available through the classroom teacher or on the school website.

PTA JOG-A-THON REMINDERS
The PTA Jog-a-thon will be held on Fri. May 1. This is a fundraiser event for the Maple Grove PTA. All students that participate will receive a complimentary water bottle from the PTA. Donation envelopes are due on
Wed. Apr. 29. Thanks for your support!
Lost Library Books
Please help your child find and return any lost library books. If your child has a library fine for lost/damaged books, it is now
due. Make checks out to Maple Grove Elementary. If the book is found later and in good condition, you will receive a
refund. Thank You!

BOX TOP COLLECTION
Congratulations to Mrs. Mederios’s class for collecting the most box tops this quarter. They received a popsicle
party for turning in 791 tops. All students can still bring in box tops until May 20. A popsicle party will be
awarded to the winning class. Thanks for supporting our PTA through box tops!
BORAH H.S. HERO OF THE MONTH AWARD
Congratulations to students Colin Fife (2nd Grade), Acosia Dionne (2nd Grade), Khye Ackley (4th Grade) and Reyna Dionne
(5th Grade) for being selected to receive the Borah H.S. HERO of the Month Award for the months of Mar./Apr. These
students were recognized at the Borah Baseball Game on Apr. 23. They each received a “Future Borah Lion” T-shirt for
exhibiting Honesty, Encouragement, Respect and Obeying the rules.
Eyeglasses Drive
Maple Grove is helping the Emmett Lions Club with an eyeglasses drive. We are seeking gently used glasses for people
in need. Our goal is to get at least 100 pairs, so ask your family, friends, and neighbors if they have some unused glasses to contribute. Drop boxes are located in the office and in Room 15. The drive will end on Thurs. Apr. 30. Thanks!
