A tradition at Emmanuel is for members to purchase Easter Lilies and Geraniums in memory of,
or in honor of, important people in our lives. Thanks to the following for their contributions:

Welcome to Worship
Easter Morning
at Emmanuel!
HE is Risen!
We hope you won’t miss the fun, Easter
morning, 6 AM, at Cordelia Lutheran - Genesee!
Join our Easter Sunrise Celebration!
Welcome, as we continue this joyous occasion with Easter Sunday Worship at
Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Stay after worship to enjoy the mouthwatering delectables at our Annual Easter
Brunch. A variety of egg casseroles (including gluten- and dairy-free options),
pastries, fruit, Easter ham and lots of Emmanuel companionship await you,
downstairs, in Fellowship Hall!
Also, during this time of fellowship and fantastic food,
we will hold our Annual Easter Egg Hunt!
Note: Because “us big kids” have as much fun watching the younger kids having
fun hunting for Easter eggs, we will hold our Egg Hunt after Worship, during our
brunch, rather than during our Children’s Sunday School J.A.M. - Jesus And Me!
session. Children will receive Easter activity packs, following the Children’s
Sermon, and remain with their families through our Easter worship service.
Our regularly scheduled J.A.M. class will resume next Sunday.

Happy Easter
From the ELCA World Hunger Program
What Easter signifies is that the Ministry and Mission of Jesus Christ continues in
our world. One way by which our Church continues this work is through the
feeding of hungry people. We feed the hungry with our food donations to our local
food pantry located at St. Mary's Church. We invite you to bring a monthly bag of
food on the fourth Sunday of each month for the Local Food Pantry.
Another way that we support the ongoing work of our church to feed the hungry is
through our own regular financial contributions to the ELCA WORLD HUNGER
APPEAL. On Sunday morning, take one of the ELCA World Hunger envelopes in
the pew and make a generous contribution, placing it into the offering plate!
Resurrection means NEW LIFE. By feeding the hungry in our community and
through the world we bring new life to people in need. We extend the love of God
in Christ!
Happy Easter!
Jack and Karen Kelly
Synod ELCA World Hunger Advocates

Help Our Kids: Spin, Flop, See-Saw, Slide,
Swing, Climb, Hang...
Our Emmanuel Preschool needs a new playground. We are accepting donations of
your RV, Car, Pickup, or ATV to raise funds so our kids can flip, tumble, crawl, swing,
and climb for fun!
If you have:
 an old car taking up space in your driveway,
 or an old truck that is taking up valuable “shop” space,
 or an ATV that is in the way of the new planter box you want to build,
 ANY vehicle you wish to donate all or part of its sale
to providing a safe fun place for our kids to play, let us sell it for you!
Please contact Steve Fountain, Jeff Hill, Craig Greenwalt, Pastor Daugs,
or the Church Office (882.3915).
We would love to hear from you!

Emmanuel
Lutheran
Preschool is
Expanding!
In the Fall of 2015, we will begin an
afternoon class! This class will
initially be offered as a 3 & 4 year old
combined class and then will grow
into separate 3 & 4 year old classes.
This class will be Monday,
Wednesday, Friday, from
12:45 - 3:15 PM. We are excited
about this expansion and want to
remind ELC members that Lutherans
have first priority in early registration
for ALL classes. Because of your
attachment and ongoing support of
ELC, your children, grandchildren,
neighbors and friends have the gift of
early registration.
Who can YOU invite
to our Christian Preschool?
